Peace
I believe my conscience is my link to him. As I've learned to listen
to it and do as it directs. IE. Do what's right because it's right.
Thoughts like these. Anyway my life has improved a lot and we talk all
the time now.
Imo the Holy Spirit is God's Voice to us.
Imo the following passage is relevant here:
"Salvation is of your brother. The Holy Spirit extends
from your mind to his, and answers YOU. You cannot
hear the Voice for God in yourself alone because you
are NOT alone. And His answer is only for what you
ARE.You will not know the trust I have in you unless
you EXTEND it.You will not trust the guidance of the
Holy Spirit, or believe that it is for you unless you hear
it in others. It MUST be for your brother BECAUSE
it is for you.Would God have created a Voice for you
alone? Could you hear His answer EXCEPT as He
answers ALL of God's Sons? Hear of your brother
what you would have me hear of you, for you would
not want ME to be deceived.
I love you for the truth in you, as God does.Your
deceptions may deceive YOU, but they CANNOT
deceive ME. Knowing what you are, I CANNOT
doubt you. I hear only the Holy Spirit in you,Who
speaks to me through YOU. If you would hear ME,
hear my brothers in whom God's Voice speaks. The
answer to ALL prayers lies in them. You will be
answered as you hear the answer in EVERYONE.
Do not listen to anything else or you will not hear truth."
(T-9.II.6:3-7:8)
no
there is no "almighty"
:)
Want my spoon?
:-)
But what exactly is the 'Holy Spirit'?
I don't think anyone has ever answered that question, and without doing so,
saying that God's Voice is the Holy Spirit is kind of meaningless.
The phrase 'Holy Spirit' is basically a religious phrase and religious
phrases are often ambiguous and airy-fairy.
Just doing some critical thinking and questioning. Sometimes I think that's
necessary and someone needs to do it.
Conscience, Holy Spirit, God's voice. To me they are one in the same.
hmmmmm
but does that make it so?
or just one more illusion?
:)
you ended the subject with a preposition, dear
:)
nor is there a spoon
only the idea of a spoon
only the idea of god
but as soon as we give it legs, that idea
and make it into words and sentences
we objectify that which cannot be objectified
we build the illusion from within
how can illusions truly be released
if the most essential illusion is left in place?
the idea of god, given legs, thus made illusory
like
"the tao that can be spoken, is not the tao"
sabe?
:)
i have asked the question many many times
not to find an answer
but to hear ideas
so maybe that is the answer
the idea in words is rather vague
holy spirit
the words do not really convey any solid meaning
so what if they are left that way?
nothing solid
simply an idea left alone to simply be an idea
no definitions
no limits
simply
simply
being
idea
:)
i was wondering if anyone would catch that
:)
It is the voice of life itself.
> I don't think anyone has ever answered that question, and without doing
> so, saying that God's Voice is the Holy Spirit is kind of meaningless.
> The phrase 'Holy Spirit' is basically a religious phrase and religious

Not for those who experience it.
> Just doing some critical thinking and questioning. Sometimes I think
> that's necessary and someone needs to do it.
The point is that one cannot judge
what one does not experience -
and in fact is not interested in.
When nuclear scientists discuss
"quasars" or whatever, then I simply
am not able, as a layman, to critisize
their phrases and statements.
That depends on if I have faith?
faith is another illusion
it is a nice buzz-word
to make one feel special
but really
what is faith?
by what mechanism
does faith exist?
have you ever noticed
that people only tell the faithless
to have faith?
how can one have faith
if one has no faith?
but anyway
i have a question for you george
why did you phrase that as a question
rather than as a statement?
it is the little things
that give one away
:)
Hi Jasmine,
The Almighty reaches me through the language of
heart-wrenching compassion amidst conditions that
I know to be Handled despite all appearance, and
through experiences of profound awe and gratitude
for life's bounty and perfect orchestration.
So, direct communication? No. But frequently
through intense feelings as well as through
signs and messages such as 'inexplicable'
synchronicities.
You might find Robert Perry's new book "Signs" to
be an interesting read in this regard. Sheryl has
been recently notifying us of her review of the
book, and has offered a recording of her interview
with Perry from her website. I haven't seen the
book yet, myself.
Hope you had a lovely summer, Jasmine

Faith is the choice to believe in what can't be proven.
> by what mechanism
> does faith exist?
Faith comes from within. For me, a devout atheist for many years, It
came from a choice to just try and open my mind that I might not know
everything. That I might want to open my mind to see if there was
something else going on here. The something else," that I call God"
rushed in to prove itself to me. It showed me that if I chose to
believe in what it showed me, that my life could be transformed from
an unhappy drug addict to a sober happy life that I wouldn't trade for
the world.
> have you ever noticed
> that people only tell the faithless
> to have faith?
Why would the faithless ever tell someone to have faith? A faithless
person hasn't chosen to believe so they could never understand it.
> how can one have faith
> if one has no faith?
Faith is just a choice. It's choosing to TRY and believe in what can't
be proven in this world beyond doubt. All it takes IMO is the effort
to try. And yet it has been proven to me in this world beyond doubt.
It's nothing that could ever be proven to anyone else but it has been
proven to me by my experiences and thoughts. The faith is what BRINGS
the proof but only to oneself.

It was an accident on the ? I'm not very careful in my writing and
there is no edit function here, even though I saw it as soon as it was
posted. opps.
Great answer; completely agreed.
Yes, from one perspective, I also agree and appreciate
Deborah's POV. But then, before the so called separation
(or split) of our/my mind, this we/me mind must have been
all/completely "Holy Spirit", and it must have been this
"Holy Spirit"-state of mind from which the so called ego
(which George still calls "the Devil"!?) arose. IOW, the
so called "Holy Spirit" must be exactly that which must
have made "the false self, the ego". Ain't it strange for
the supposedly corrupted/false/separate part of the mind
(or self) to think its own (supposedly) "sick" state will
(or can) be healed by the "Holy Spirit"-state, by exactly
that which must have initially corrupted it? I'm beginning
to suspect that all mind(s) themselves are much like bodies
in the sense that mind(s) are nothing absolute either, but
just like bodies, also only communication/experience devices.
Without some sort of split/separation of the fundamental one
mind (state), without projecting/creating other(s)/not-self,
communication would be a meaningless/empty concept. So seen,
it's nothing other than the desire to be more than one that
basically caused and causes any/every separation/split. So,
then, I begin to wonder if there is anything at all in need
of healing (etc)? What if everything is exactly as it should
be, for the simple reason that love/beauty/peace are empty
ideas, when without all sorts contrasts. Is it perhaps the
very idea that something/anything needs to be healed, what
needs to be healed more than anything else?

Yep.
Now I just wish there was a version of acim available that's not in
Christianese.
Know of any?
I believe the original phrase for Holy Spirit was 'Spiritual eye' or
similar.
I wish humans would leave words as they are and not change them.
I think the course should be rewritten in the original terminology.
Otherwise the course is amazing. The best thing I've found besides the
Bashar changelings.

www.ACIMRadio.net
There are free audio samples on there.
Also do a search on youtube for more free material.
I have found a copy of the acim urtext in pdf format.
It is the original dictation before it was edited and changed.

This is probably old news to most here.
Interesting, thanks Andrew, and welcome to TRC-M!
'Bashar' seems to be a brother of 'Seth', to me.
Cool how it pronounces 'Expectaaaaiishon' :-)
OIn the Soul Radio page, this really made my day :-)

best, mARTin
I think my tiny brain will accept that once it stops blaming "it" for
darkness. there are spoons everywhere! *achingly accepts the reality
of seeing spoons
thanks...hopefully I will lift my head out of the drudgery for a
breath to read again, Perry's book just might make it to my night
stand. sorry but I am terribly miserable lately.
All apologies for the ick typed out. At the same time, thank you all
for your responses. many of the words shared contribute to a greater
understanding of the human condition...
so you accidentally pressed the shift key
then accidentally pressed the question mark key
while still holding down the shift key?
is that the best you can come up with?
by the way
there is no try
:)
Thinking of you Jasmine, and wishing you well.
Love to you, ~ Lee
