Assuming in 100 years time the nanotechnology revolution has made all
material goods so abundant and cheap that every person on the planet
can have them along with permanent youthful bodies and brains, then
what will become of politics and economics as we know it?.

IF this is the case there will be no reason for criminals to commit
aquisitive crimes of theft etc.
But this assumes all criminals are logical and rational.
IF the human brain is not altered by nanotech. interventions, then
there will still be sadistic criminals that commit crimes of
aquisition and violence for sadistic pleasure not material gain.
IF such sadistic criminality has NOT been biochemically or
genetically eradicated from human brains, then some publically
controlled system will still be needed to be incharge of the
apprehending, confinement and punishment of criminals.
BUT if society allows such criminality to be genetically or
biochemically removed from human brains, then there will be no need for
this present job of politics.
And with instant, direct democracy by referendums on all topics every
day or even every hour,(like the original Ancient Athens
democracy)there will be no need to elect politicians to make the
decisions on what laws we need to live with in a civilised humane
society.

Any intelligent critiques, please.?
Hartly.
