Two Americas - Republican Style

Americas, one poor and one rich. I would like to reply with my own version
of two Americas. One America that can send their kids to private schools or
live in rich school districts that have great public schools, and the other
America that has to put up with crappy public schools.
If Sen. Edwards would be honest with us, he would admit that MY two Americas
create HIS two Americas because a good education enables most people to
become successful, and a bad education destines most people for a life of
failure.
The Republicans have the only solution to this problem that will actually
work. Parents should be able to take the full value of the money spent on
each child in the public school system, and apply that value to the private
or other public school of their choice. This lets the people who know the
child and school the best make the decision, the parents. While individual
parents may make bad decisions, the chances are substantial that our
children would get a vastly better education with a system like this because
public schools would suddenly have to compete vs. being a monopoly as they
are now.
The Democrat's arguments against school choice mask their true motivation.
The public school employee unions are one of the Democrat's biggest
supporters, and school choice would probably lower their pay, make them work
harder, and generally upset their gravy train. All this nonsense about
being for the public schools is a load of horseshit. The Democrats are for
the public school UNIONS, and if you examine EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR
PROPOSALS, you will see that every one benefits the school unions. What a
fucking coincidence!
I have a modest suggestion for the country. Instead of fighting for the
public schools, perhaps we should fight for the public school CHILDREN.
After all, they are what matters most, right?

where do all these private schools come from? everybody pays taxes for
schools even people without kids, if someone can get out of paying because
they send their kids to private schools then those without kids should not
have to pay either.
schools lack money cuting it even further would only worsen them. , it's not
a competion, that is typical repug bullshit.

I'm for that if we can do the same thing with national defense.
Divide up the amount of money spent defense by every citizen of the USA.
For every household (5 memners in the case of my home), THOSE WHO WANT IT
would get their "share" of defense money, to spend as they see fit.
I could take my $20K (guesstimate) and buy 2 shotguns ($100) and pocket the
rest.
I like how your principles can be worked to get me some money!
