Trump argues for absolute immunity is being argued before
the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit:
|
| Judge: Could a president order Seal Team 6 to kill a
| political rival?
|
| Sauer for Trump: He could be criminally prosecuted, but

There is no fucking way that's right or that the appeals judges are going to
accept that.

Appellate courts will reject. Supremes are bought and paid for, as
Don Fatso has pointed out, and they just might.

A president does not have absolute immunity. If he commits acts not within the
boundary of presidential duties, and any of those acts are crimes, he is subject
to prosecution for them after leaving office (however he leaves).

Trump does not have immunity for organizing fake electors.

Trump does not have immunity for inciting an insurrection (there was an
insurrection).

Trump does not have immunity for soliciting state elections officials to commit
election fraud.

Trump is going to lose his immunity appeal and he is going to be prosecuted.

I know that English is your second language, Russian troll,
but that refers to civil lawsuits, not to criminal. No
president (until Trump) has asserted that they have immunity
from criminal prosecution. Quoting your article:
|
| Neither civil nor criminal immunity is explicitly granted
| in the Constitution or any federal statute.
|
In fact all the court cases in *your article* state that
immunity is limited in criminal cases.

The president of the United States enjoys absolute immunity from
many lawsuits while in office; it is legally untested whether they
also enjoy criminal immunity from arrest or prosecution. Neither
civil nor criminal immunity is explicitly granted in the
Constitution or any federal statute.

The Supreme Court of the United States found in Nixon v.
Fitzgerald (1982) that the president has absolute immunity from
civil damages actions regarding conduct within the "outer
perimeter" of their duties. However, in Clinton v. Jones (1997),
the court ruled against temporary immunity for sitting presidents
from suits arising from pre-presidency conduct. Some scholars have
suggested an immunity from arrest and criminal prosecution as
well, a view which has become the practice of the Department of
Justice under a pair of memoranda (1973 and 2000) from the Office
of Legal Counsel. Presidents Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and
Donald Trump were criminally investigated while in office, but
none was prosecuted while in office. No court has ever ruled on
the matter of criminal immunity.

You said "Other presidents have asserted this," meaning immunity. The Wikipedia
piece does not cite any other presidents claiming criminal immunity. It
discusses criminal immunity generally, but only for incumbent presidents, and it
does not mention anything about any other presidents claiming criminal immunity,
either while in officer or afterward.

"Strongman" conjures up Stalin, Pol Pot, the absolute monarchs of old and ancient Europe
and even, dare I say the name? Adolf Hitler.

America is the very antithesis of this. No, we *don't* want a strongman. We don't want a
President strong enough to dictate to Congress and the Courts. We don't want anybody
strong enough to upset the checks and balances of power that were built into our system of
government from its earliest days to its most recent. We certainly don't want anybody
against whom the military is unwilling to work.

"Cancel culture is the judge and jury of speech. The most tragic part is that the left is
guilty of the fascism they always charge. The more free speech the sooner we find the
truth." - Matt Schlapp, chairman, ACU (who in 2020 formally disinvited Mitt Romney to
speak because of his anti Trump views).

The trouble with that statement is that it uses "fascist" incorrectly, as if it were a
swear word. The left is hardly fascist and anyone who claims it is, doesn't know what
fascist means any more than Mr Schlapp does.

Fascism, by definition, is a far right ideology in much the same way Socialism is a far
left ideology. Iow, fascism is to Republicans as Socialism is to Democrats. Understanding
this is essential to understanding the current mess American politics is in.

There are Republicans who are clearly racists whether they'll admit it or not and there
are Democrats who think free tampons in men's rooms are a perfectly normal thing for a
society to provide. Both of these are extreme, even radical positions that cannot be
reconciled with each other.

Notably, the more extreme the positions, the deeper and more powerful the hypocrisy. The
difference between the parties is that the GOP is more likely to embrace the farthest
reaches of the right very broadly and in greater numbers. Democrats have slightly fewer
extremists and are more interested in moderating to achieve important goals. The right is
more likely to use violence as a tool for change which is also a hallmark of fascism and
other right wing ideologies.

Our current President ignores both Congress and the Courts. No, he's
not a "strongman" but that doesn't change the facts.

No, *not* the Democrats, you fucking liar. Here's exactly what the felon said:

“Just a little note to Nikki, she is not going to win, but if she did she would
be under investigation by those people in 15 minutes. I could tell you five
reasons why already, not big reasons, little stuff that she doesn’t want to talk
about, but she will be under investigation in minutes.”

Why would Democrats "investigate" her if she eventually beats him in
Republiscum/QAnon primaries? They would have no reason to investigate her.

You're such a stupid fucking *failed* cop, BlueBitch.

No, it wasn't. Trump really did say what the story claimed he said. They quoted
him verbatim. The total bullshit is what Trump said, every word of it. He didn't
mean any real people when he said "those people." The entire thing was a
fabrication: no "investigation," no "those people" — every word of it was
bullshit. When Trump talks, he says bullshit — and you, a *failed* fired

Wrong, wrong, wrong, Kremlin Girl. The RNC is not 'owned' by the
candidate for POTUS, and certainly not before that candidate is
chosen at the convention. The RNC has responsibility for all
national offices. This isn't a dictatorship like in your
native Russia.
