Palestinians: Rachel Corrie was a “Bitch”
Rachel Corrie and other female activists: “nasty foreign bitches” whom
“our Palestinian young men are following around.”

Jerry Gordon brought “Who Killed Rachel Corrie” by Lenny Ben-David to
our attention. It shows that, among other things, young Palestinian
men regarded Corrie and other female activists as “foreign bitches”
who were there for their sexual gratification.
An anonymous letter was circulating which referred to Corrie and
the other expatriate women in Rafah as “nasty foreign bitches” whom
“our Palestinian young men are following around.”
The article also asks a question we have been asking for years. The
ghoul in question is Joseph Smith, aka Joseph Carr:
I’m troubled by several elements of the Corrie case:
We’re all shocked by the horrifying pictures of Corrie lying on
the ground, broken and bleeding. But has anyone ever asked what kind
of ghoul would snap pictures rather than rush to her aid or run to get
help?
Numerous pictures of Corrie standing defiantly in front of an
Israeli bulldozer appeared in the media, but upon investigation it
transpired that not a single one was from the incident that killed
her. Some were taken hours before the fatal incident with a different
bulldozer; others were sloppy photoshopped forgeries. Why were there
photos after she was injured and not before?
If Craig and Cindy Corrie were not more interested in media attention
than in genuine justice for their daughter, they also would be asking
these questions.

she could've received the same kind of attention in Oakland or Atlanta
projects.
a wrongful death verdict would have been acceptable.
now her family will have to rely on good ol American justice to find
the driver of the bulldozer and the judge.

UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Richard Falk issued a statement
today blasting an Israeli court for yesterday's Rachel Corrie civil suit
ruling, saying it represented a 'defeat for justice and accountability
and a victory for impunity for the Israeli military.'

The lawsuit was brought by the parents of slain activist Rachel Corrie,
and sought only $1, a tacit admission of wrongdoing. The court rejected
the case, and the judge declared that Corrie brought her death upon
herself. .
.
Falk termed the ruling a "sad outcome, above all for the Corrie family
but also for the rule of law." The Corries intend to appeal the case to
the Israeli high court, though since the Israeli Defense Ministry has
barred most witnesses from the trial the case is seen as more or less a
foregone conclusion.

Israel's government has often condemned Falk, and in 2008 captured him
in a Tel Aviv airport and expelled him, declaring him "unwelcome"
because of criticism of the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip.
