Amnesty International demands inquiry into Jenin 'war crimes'

Amnesty International says claims of human rights abuses in the Jenin
refugee camp should be investigated on a par with war crimes
perpetrated in the Balkans.

The human rights organisation has detailed what it claims is evidence
of violations of humanitarian law by the Isaeli army.

It says the United Nations fact-finding mission did not go far enough
into uncovering what happened in the West Bank camp.

Palestinians claimed a massacre took place in Jenin, during which
hundreds died.

Israel denies charges of a massacre, placing the death toll in the
dozens, and insisting that most were gunmen or potential suicide
bombers.

A delegation from Amnesty International entered the refugee camp
shortly after the army pulled out 13 days after the incursion began
and took witness statements from refugees.

Javier Zuniga, director of regional strategy in the international
secretariat of the organisation, said: "We are talking here (about)
war crimes and we believe Israel has a case to answer. We believe that
nothing short of a proper internationally-commissioned inquiry will
do."

The briefing to foreign journalists in London almost descended into
chaos when one reporter, who signed himself as J Welby of the Hendon
Times, had to be ejected after shouting "suicide bombers out" several
times while Mr Zuniga was speaking.

Professor Derrick Pounder, forensic pathologist at Dundee University,
who examined a number of bodies found at the camp, said the type of
investigation carried out by the war crimes tribunal in The Hague was
the "type of expertise which is required to bring to bear in Jenin".

If the Israeli's have nothing to hide, they won't resist this.

They can go and wank it. A UN inquiry is already
being set up so your 'scoop' is well out of date.

It's interesting that the various medias are NOT saying one
single word about how Amnesty International is interested
in the way that the Israeli civilians have been blown to bit for
over a CENTURY now at the hands of the Arab Terrorists. It's
to AI's credit that they are undertaking such an extensive
investigation against the Arab society, who is sending out
killers into Israel to deliberately murder innocent babies, kids,
mothers, and fathers.

There were no bodies of babies, children and women at Racak. All there
were was some dead KLA killed in action and moved to the "scene" (i.e.
no blood on the ground and forensic evidence of routine firearm use
by these "victims"). The whole freaking west, led by HRW and William
Walker (the deathsquad apologist during his years as a spook in Central
America) in hysterical accusations of attrocity, was galvanized into
action to bomb Serbia to "stop the genocide".

Wrong - at least one of the bodies was identified as a woman.

No report has said anything of the sort.
