1. How do you know he doesn't have one "like the example"?
2. The "example" is a "Certifcate of Live Birth" (so-called "long form")
3. The one shown for Obama is a"Certification of Live Birth" (so-called
"short form")
4. The "article" states that you don't have to be born in Hawaii to obtain
the Certification (short form) --- so we're asked to believe that SOME state
documents can be issued fraudulently? Bullshit . . .

Actually, if they had half a brain (and there's no proof they did)
they'd have made every effort to get little bammy born on U.S. soil.
My understanding is that there was some question about McCain being
born in international waters as well. If he's not born here then
probably something went wrong.

Right Snopes and Wikipedia solve all issues. Well, OK, they sure beat
hell out of the NYT for truth and accuracy, but still. it hardly
counts as any "proof" of anything.
Let's face it. If there was real proof and a real certificate, you'd
have seen it by now. But fact is that the constitution is a living
document that has long outlived its usefulness. And it should be
obvious to everyone that if Obama can't stall this issue for at LEAST
eight years then he is not enough of a politician to DESERVE to be
president. Lets reward skills where we find them. And as long as he's

Hawaii to be registered as if born in Hawaii, or did it require evidence
that a person was born in Hawaii?
Jimmy Carter was the first president to be born in a hospital. The birth of
every previous president was registered, if at all, by people making sworn
statements. But of course this did bother anyone because those presidents
were white.

Lots of babies from Kuakini, true but from Queens also (it is a general
hospital). Quite a few from Tripler (military) and St.Francis; probably

I was familiar with them because I lived on the birth announcements for
several years. I had just opened a portrait studio and new parents were a
natural source of income. You'll note that the announcements included an
address...post cards cost $0.01 to send so that's what we did. Later on,
the newspapers stopped printing the addresses so we went to the Health
Bureau and copied them from their list. Ultimately, even the B of H stopped
with the addresses; however - at the time - one could give Hawaiian
Telephone a list of just names and they would give you a list - a free
list - with telephone numbers and addresses. As an FYI, there were
approximately 1000 births per month during the time under discussion.
I assure you, a new parent could not call either of the major daily papers
and get a birth announcement published unless they paid for a display or
classified ad.

the exact methodology with total accuracy, but I seem to recall births being
grouped *by* hospital; neither of the news pages linked were complete so

The State of Hawaii says the birth certificate is real, that it is on
file and that it has not been treated differently from anyone else's
birth certificate. It does have the official seal as confirmed by many
people who actually examined the original document (on the back, not the
front, just like all the others from that time in Hawaii) and there is
no doubt about it's authenticity. The Advertiser newspaper did carry an
announcement of Obama's birth in Honolulu and supplied a copy of said
announcement. A federal judge ruled that claims similar to your position
are frivolous and do not warrant any further comment. And the sources
for the Snopes article include the NY Times, The Philadelphia Daily
News, The Associated Press, The Economist and the Honolulu Star Bulletin.

skeptical when he says you couldn't call in a birth announcement. Lots of kids
weren't born in a hospital at all. What did they do?

digitize newspapers back that far. In any case the claim was made that he was
born in a hospital but that noone could remember which one.
In addition to that, the nondisclosure of his college records (which could
contain information regarding scholarships awarded only to noncitizens) and
his travel to Pakistan in 1981 which should have been impossible on a US
passport.
It is not the BC alone that I base my suspicions on, but the 3 separate
questions and the clear disdain for a clear answer.

This isn't much of a flatbed scan and it's too wrinkled to be a library
microfiche. I suspect someone found it in a newspaper morgue and photocopied
it. It appears to have gone through several photocopy phases before it got
scanned. But it would seem to be genuine.
