With health care legislation likely to be passed within the next few weeks,
a new study claims that the bill will create hundreds of thousands of jobs a
year in addition to helping the uninsured find care. Economists from Harvard
and USC say that their research indicates that health care reform would
reduce health care costs in the long run enough to allow employers to hire
more workers. They anticipate that some 250,000 to 400,000 jobs a year would
be created in the next decade thanks to the savings. The report has plenty
of skeptics however, with the conservative Heritage Foundation predicting
450,000 jobs lost over the next decade if the bill passes as a result of new
taxes on wealthy Americans.

re-structuring. Skilled people should be working at their level and not
spending time doing unskilled work. More investment into government clinics
would be useful. Re-structuring the clinical trials process could save
billions on drug costs. Better utilization of expensive diagnostic testing
can save millions. The key to making health care affordable is
re-structuring and efficient utilization. Pass the bill and let's go.
Everyone knows by now Americans can not afford Limbaugh/Cheney health care.

Bullshit. Obamacare will ELIMINATE jobs - as the added taxes it
inflicts on the middle class (required health insurance) will be money
*not* spent on other things; count on small retail businesses such as
restaurants, beauty shops, car dealers, etc. being big losers.

and it will be positive for the 4th quarter as well. The recession is
over and job creation will begin again in 2010. The second Bush
recession is over, much to your dismay.

stimulus package, the White House produced a report claiming their
plan would keep unemployment under a peak of 8%.
Reality has not been kind to President Obama�s promises. On November
6, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released their Employment Situation
Summary showing that the nation�s unemployment rate had soared from
9.8% to 10.2% in October. You can see how President Obama�s promises
compare to reality to the right.
At that rate, I don't know how much more SUCCESS we can afford!
