"For the second time in just over a week, Fox News is coming under
fire for misusing old news footage. The latest flap is leading some
people to charge that the cable news network is intentionally
misleading its audience, while Fox claims a "production error."

Wednesday's incident occurred when Fox News host Gregg Jarrett
mentioned that a Sarah Palin appearance and book signing in Grand
Rapids, Michigan had a massive turnout. As footage rolled of a smiling
and waving Palin amidst a throng of fans, Jarrett noted that the
former Republican vice-presidential candidate is "continuing to draw
huge crowds while she's promoting her brand-new book,'' adding that
the images being shown were "some of the pictures just coming in to
us.... The lines earlier had formed this morning."

However, the video used in the segment was from a 2008 McCain/Palin
campaign rally. In response to the minor uproar that arose after clips
of Jarrett's report hit the Internet, Fox senior vice-president of
news Michael Clemente issued an initial statement saying, "This was a
production error in which the copy editor changed a script and didn't
alert the control room to update the video."

So...the 2nd time in a week. Is it just another mistake or is this
just the latest in a long line of attempts are skewing news stories.
Oh...and this time it happened ON THE FAUX NEWS segment and not on one
of the opinionator's shows.

IMHO when they go back and look (and they will) they are going to find
that Faux Commentary has been doing this for years.

And IMHO you're a clueless dimwit. It would, of course, be a simple enough
thing to determine if there was a deliberate attempt to deceive. Just look at
the actual tape of the event to see if indeed there was a large crowd as
described. But of course your ilk's true goal is to destroy the credibility of
the best and most popular news channel.

I remember the vehement protests by Lookout every time CBS, NBC, NBC,

story about "assault weapons."

Bottom line: You don't know if they lied or not. It's much more likely
that the leftwing is watching them like a hawk for any little mistake like
this, just like they're doing to Sarah Palin's book. Ignoring content and
trying to find lies where none exist.

After eight years of the Clinton administration, having their president
waggle his finger in their faces and saying "Now you listen to me" and lying
his ass off while they defended him, suddenly they became pathologically
sensitive about lying.

This isn't about Clinton. Stop trying to change the subject. Faux
Commentary got caught lying twice in one week. I have no doubt there
are staffers from several shows going back over Faux Commentary

I guess I should be polite, but he tends to keep hanging on the same
point even when it is wrong. It is really too bad, since from time to
time, he does make good points and seems to understand
stuff.....unfortunately, that is not the preponderance of the time.
