A side benefit is that Obama's ratings will rise too.
Thank you George Bush for providing this bounty to the Democrats.
TMT
Perhaps you can explain to me how or why Obama's ratings will improve
with the resignation of Palin? I fail to see how they are connected.
If anything, I see them continuing to drop and the reason has nothing to
do with Palin.
Also, there is much written about the resignation of Sarah Palin in
this news group. If she really is an ill prepared challenger and never
was taken seriously by the voting public, why are so many writing about
her resignation??? America wants to know.
Because a good percentage of the Republikkkon "base" kept up the
fiction that she was a prime presidential candidate. Her resignation
has shown her for what she really is: spoiled, self-centered,
ignorant, not capable of handling pressure, thinks she's entitled.
Just making certain you don't miss the obvious.
You are so busy yelping "my team won" you've missed the obvious.
Palin is positioning herself for 2012 and she'll be way ahead of
Obama who is going to spend the next 3 years trying to implement
his Marxist agenda to an ever increasing public opposition to policies
that double the cost of energy, increase job losses and raise taxes to
keep driving the nation deeper into debt. Those green jobs he keeps
yacking about won't go to Americans, they will go to China. The
only green jobs Americans will get are mowing the lawns for
Nancy Pelosi, Barny Frank and Chris Dodd.
Bounty? She now enters the national picture instead of far away Alaska.

Bullshit. Now that she's not currently a candidate for anything
outside Alaska and not any official anything, nobody will care about
Palin. What they WILL care about is downsizings at their workplace,
the job market, whether their house can sell at the "value" their
county assessed it at for property tax, taxes, rising prices of
nondeferrable expense items. - and that will be in their home state,
not in faraway Alaska.
Doesn't look good for the Black Daley on those things that count.

he would serve the full term if elected to the post?
Does the same spoiled, self-centered, entitlement charge apply to

I'd be more inclined to think 2016 or 2020. Why run against Obama in
2012 and likely lose? In 2016, she will still be only 52 which is young
for that position and in 2020, she will only be 56. By either of those
dates, she will have rebuilt her personal power base....the Republican
Pary should have recovered and gotten back its footing....she will have
had time to get boned up on all issues foreign and domestic and may,
indeed, have quite a powerful platform and have been acting as a party
leader.

Right now, Obama's biggest challenge is Obama. He has a lot hanging out

Because anyone stupid enough to actually WANT to go to a Letterman show
is a brainless leftard.
Letterman has two sorts of watchers..those that cant sleep or are laying
bed recovering from a rousing bought of sex, or utter
buffoons...leftists all, who took the time to go to NYC, stand in line
and then sit through his buffoonery in slavish devotion.
I take it you havent had sex in a while eh?
I am inclined to believe that Obama is a one termer. He has taken on far to
much. The American people might lkke change but they prefer it in small
doses.
I can think of many things he's done already that are going to rub various
groups the wrong way, probably enough cumulatively to create a majority.
Of course it all depends on the Republicans being smart, never a good bet.
2016? 2020? You assume that we'll still be a republic.

Actually...the US will be utterly in the toilet inside the next 3 yrs.
While I live and work in California..its not unique in its utter
decline..its just the front runner.
Freeway traffic in the LA area is down at least 20%....20% of several
million vehicles on the roadways each day is a surprising number.
What used to take me 1.5 hours to drive to..now takes me 45 minutes.
Its rather fun getting out on the freeways and actually be able to get
somewhere in a reasonable amount of time.
California is as I said..just the front runner of the utter failure of
Liberalism..not something unique.
So expect to see really Bad Economics in your area in the near future.
Stock up on canned goods, etc etc....Im doing it as fast as I can and
implementing other options.
We are just going into it..and frankly...if you read between the lines
from even the Obama government..its going to be at least 3 yrs before we
see any improvement...and honestly..I suspect its going to be even
longer than that. The Great Depression Part 1 lasted 11 yrs..and we had
an economy where 51% of the population lived ruraly on farms etc etc.
Now its 11% or less..and still falling.
Im taking down a factory. $20 an hour. My normal rate is $75hr, plus
travel, plus mileage.
The For Sale/For Lease signs are covering up the signs of running
businesses as you pass through commercial areas. Even in residential
areas.
This is NOT good. California all by itself, 5 yrs ago..was the 7th
largest economy in the world.
No longer.
We do indeed live in interesting times..and they are going to be more
and more interesting as times go on.
Shrug.

Btw...double the unemployment rates you see published. Much of the
published rates are intentionally misleading to attempt to prevent the
bad news from becoming even worse for the mental condition of the
workers..and to prevent the Kill Off of the Leftwing Extremists in
charge. A pitiful and failed attempt. Shrug
Boys and girls..this is NOT one of our cyclic recessions. We passed that
point 30 days ago. We are well and truely headed straight for the Great
Depression Part Deux. And its world wide as some of you may note.
We are living in Interesting Times...best prepare for it as fast and as
best you can.
Ill be sitting on the front porch playing the banjo as they kill off the
Leftwingers who got us into this mess, in their attempt to turn America
into a Socialized State.
Shrug....its been a very long time in the making. And the burn off is
years too late.
I have every confidence that America will in time, recover..but its not
going to be easy to recognize ever again.
And yet you defend Bush and his policies.

Sarah is on track and she will do just fine. Liberals/Socialists will

Yup. His career has really skyrocketed since he went conservative,
hasn't it?

She's stupid. The best she can do is attract the fundamentalist base
in the party and that's not going to be enough. IF..and that's a big
if..she makes it to the debates they will tear her apart on the easy
questions on facts alone. She's just to stupid.

You can go back to the insults about Amy Carter.
Or you DIDN't. The joke was about Alex Rodriquez knocking up the Palin
daughter during the seventh inning stretch. The problem was that the
daughter with Sarah at the game was 14 year old Willow.

No, it isn't. Say all you want about the public figure...leave the
children out of it.

Some came from me. My feeling is the same for either side. Do you feel
that putdown jokes should come out about Obama's kids?

Bristol wasn't at the game so she wasn't in any position around Alex
Rodriguez. Willow was. She's 14. If it had been Bristol at the game,
the outcry would have been much, much less.

Of course not, dumb ass.
She's getting roasted again tonite!
It was clear to anyone that he was referring to Bristol.
Maybe clear to anyone trying to justify the hate of the Lefty's doing
the laughing.
Obama sure has brought the country together, good thing he "reached
across the isle", once again Obama shows he's a lying sack of crap that
foments hate and it show throughout our society.
It is clear to anyone that Letterman referred to the daughter that Palin
took to the game, 14 year-old Willow.
Now if Willow is fair game for trash jokes, then so are Sascha and Malia.

She's just too easy. She's cute and soooo dumb sounding...and gives great
sound bites to laugh at. She is pure comedy gold. These type of characters
don't come along too often. Only complete idiots can't see that.
Yeah...the same one that came THIS close to electing this foolish bitch to
back up an old man in the most important job in the country. That was too
fucking close for comfort.
If there was something funny about it? A germ of truth? Sure. Absolutely.
If they were to actually DO something like get knocked up by some dumbass
jock out of wedlock? But they are sweet innocent little children unlike
Bristol Palin who...while I don't blame her because being raised by dumbass
tundra hillbillies didn't give her much of a chance to be anything
else...nevertheless goes around making ignorant statements about abstinence
when she couldn't keep her own legs closed or use a condom.
Hey. Go for it asshole. See how funny it is. I'm never surprised to see
how humor retarded the right wingers are. You will just never get it.
I'm being as sincere as I possibly can be. I hope and pray that you right
wing knuckleheads pick on a couple of children in some deluded attempt to
get even. Not only will Barrack be re-elected...Michelle will probably pick
up where he leaves off.
Now there's an idiotic statement if I ever heard one.
Now if she would dye her hair Blond she would fit your stereotype just
perfect.
Progressive-Democrats chose McCain(crossover primary voters), the
Republicans didn't want him.... he is a progressive that wants more
government in our lives, just like Colin Powell who also said we all
wanted to pay more taxes and want more government.
McCain chose Palin, which was funny because that's who I said he would
pick. The reason was McCain didn't attract any Republicans, just
Progressive-Republicans and he couldn't even get many of them(Obama got
most of them like Powell) but Palin was bringing on-board *real*
Republicans and a bunch of women.
The reason McCain won any delegates at all was Palin. If the ticket
had been Palin/McCain instead of McCain/Palin, the outcome may have been
a bit better.
President Palin? That cinches it. You are certifiably insane. Nothing
more to it than that.
Nope. She's THAT damn perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. Her record
speaks for itself.
She wasn't the one that the joke became about. She wasn't at the game,
14 year old Willow was.
who...while I don't blame her

Bristol may have been the intended subject of the joke, but since she
wasn't the one at the game it didn't turn out that way.
Even Letterman ended up admitting it was aimed at the daughter who was at
the game with Sarah. It was their failure to do their groundwork that
ended up with the wrong daughter being the butt of the joke.

Yep, you are being as sincere as you can possibly be. Your choices of
words show that bery clearly. You are as bigotted as those you rail
against.
