Perhaps you can explain to me how or why Obama's ratings will improve
with the resignation of Palin? I fail to see how they are connected.
If anything, I see them continuing to drop and the reason has nothing to
do with Palin.
Also, there is much written about the resignation of Sarah Palin in
this news group. If she really is an ill prepared challenger and never
was taken seriously by the voting public, why are so many writing about
her resignation??? America wants to know.

Because a good percentage of the Republikkkon "base" kept up the
fiction that she was a prime presidential candidate. Her resignation
has shown her for what she really is: spoiled, self-centered,
ignorant, not capable of handling pressure, thinks she's entitled.

outside Alaska and not any official anything, nobody will care about
Palin. What they WILL care about is downsizings at their workplace,
the job market, whether their house can sell at the "value" their
county assessed it at for property tax, taxes, rising prices of
nondeferrable expense items. - and that will be in their home state,
not in faraway Alaska.

I'd be more inclined to think 2016 or 2020. Why run against Obama in
2012 and likely lose? In 2016, she will still be only 52 which is young
for that position and in 2020, she will only be 56. By either of those
dates, she will have rebuilt her personal power base....the Republican
Pary should have recovered and gotten back its footing....she will have
had time to get boned up on all issues foreign and domestic and may,
indeed, have quite a powerful platform and have been acting as a party
leader.

Right now, Obama's biggest challenge is Obama. He has a lot hanging out
on his ideas and if the economy doesn't recover, look at that tax debt he

I am inclined to believe that Obama is a one termer. He has taken on far to
much. The American people might lkke change but they prefer it in small

I can think of many things he's done already that are going to rub various

Actually...the US will be utterly in the toilet inside the next 3 yrs.
While I live and work in California..its not unique in its utter
decline..its just the front runner.
Freeway traffic in the LA area is down at least 20%....20% of several
million vehicles on the roadways each day is a surprising number.
What used to take me 1.5 hours to drive to..now takes me 45 minutes.
Its rather fun getting out on the freeways and actually be able to get
somewhere in a reasonable amount of time.
California is as I said..just the front runner of the utter failure of
Liberalism..not something unique.
So expect to see really Bad Economics in your area in the near future.
Stock up on canned goods, etc etc....Im doing it as fast as I can and
implementing other options.
We are just going into it..and frankly...if you read between the lines
from even the Obama government..its going to be at least 3 yrs before we
see any improvement...and honestly..I suspect its going to be even
longer than that. The Great Depression Part 1 lasted 11 yrs..and we had
an economy where 51% of the population lived ruraly on farms etc etc.
Now its 11% or less..and still falling.
Im taking down a factory. $20 an hour. My normal rate is $75hr, plus
travel, plus mileage.
The For Sale/For Lease signs are covering up the signs of running
businesses as you pass through commercial areas. Even in residential
areas.
This is NOT good. California all by itself, 5 yrs ago..was the 7th
largest economy in the world.

Yes we do. As far as 2012, I think she's still on the outside looking in. But
3 years of national exposure will undo her far-away image from Alaska. Three
solid years of national exposure with another powerful person such as Romney
could do wonders.

Progressive-Democrats chose McCain(crossover primary voters), the
Republicans didn't want him.... he is a progressive that wants more
government in our lives, just like Colin Powell who also said we all
wanted to pay more taxes and want more government.
McCain chose Palin, which was funny because that's who I said he would
pick. The reason was McCain didn't attract any Republicans, just
Progressive-Republicans and he couldn't even get many of them(Obama got
most of them like Powell) but Palin was bringing on-board *real*
Republicans and a bunch of women.
The reason McCain won any delegates at all was Palin. If the ticket
had been Palin/McCain instead of McCain/Palin, the outcome may have been
a bit better.
