Not ours but he posts OT crap here too. You can keep him. I suggest a
properly done keelhaul...old school. Then chum for sharks while he’s under.

What good is a moderator if after "Several words. Lots of words" the
person or persons disrupting your newsgroup are still allowed to
participate? What does your moderator do? Check everyone's spelling?
Look into your lunch boxes for healthy food? What?

Having a "moderator" is a sure-fire way to kill an NG. That's the whole
point of Usenet. It's unmoderated, with no holds barred...

T.o is robomoderated, one of the few (if not the only) group
so moderated; the moderator only maintains the 'bot software
and the server. The 'bot rejects messages crossposted to
more than 4 groups, and there are a *very* few individuals
banned for cause, some at the request of other groups for
being assholes *there*, and some for repeated nymshifting to
avoid killfiles. Jonathan is just an asshole, and such are
welcome here (in a sense) as a means of keeping them out of
the serious "sci" groups, a job which is obviously not
perfect.

That said, it's the responsibility of each group to "shoot
their own dogs"; good luck, and keep your killfile active.

What are you doing reposting my rants here?

You're posting here under two handles, Boghammer 73
and your usual handle Panthera Tigres.

How can I tell? You post under those two handles
during the same times of day, all day long
from 9am to 5 pm. It's hard to believe you
can't get a job with unemployment under 4%.

I made a major mistake in a previous post. It made little sense. One should
first chum the fuck out of the waters to attract sharks. Only then should
the proper keelhauling commence. Hopefully there are sufficient barnacles
to make it worthwhile.

And hint to the clueless: I was discussing how t.o's
robomoderation works, not "gossiping" about you; the

As I understand and recall, the early Usenet was a much more collegial
environment, and not foreseeing the abuse of the cancel mechanism they
didn't enforce a restriction that you could only cancel your own
messages. The feature was pressed into service as a despamming mechanism
- bots were written to "robocancel" excessively crossposted posts.

I can't say offhand whether the mechanism explicitly allowed you to
cancel other peoples' posts, or only implicitly as a consequence of the
lack of a reliable authentication mechanism (as seen by the ease of
forging moderator approvals).

So does the one in Agent. But the issue was about cancelling
posts made by others, not killfiling.

....says the "messenger" whose "message", the one in
sci.military.naval which started this exchange, was:

"You guys are nutjobs that'll swallow any cum your hero
Trump sees fit to deposit in your mouths."

I think the "message" got through, and fits quite well into
your usual posting style, but it's not the one you intended.

He was just lecturing me about morality, God, and Adam Smith. The great
complexity theorist get his mores from the simpler parasitic beings, the
tapeworms, which lack a mouth or digestive system. Jonathan copypastes
information from other sources instead of attempting to digest it and
process it effectively. He is a simpleton who parasitizes newsgroups as he
is incapable of autonomous and complexified thought or discourse. Freerider
through and through.

Perhaps we should be grateful that Jonathan and Fluorocarbon Bill have
come out against Trump; I would have expected both to be supporters.

I wouldn’t compare the two. Bill is actually human. He may have annoying
qualities. But differences of kind, between the two, not degree.

Cool metaphor, but metaphors are frequently inexact. Actual
references to observed traits, OTOH...
