Where have you been? He's been using that name in his rotation since
shortly after he showed up on TO. And he's not attempting to disquise
himself.

He's not even doing that. He's apparently just trying to get around some
posting limit his ISP has. Of course he probably enjoys the inevitable
resulting confusion, since his main purpose as a troll seems to be
annoyance. But that's just gravy.

What you're doing right now, comes across much the same way. When you
claim he isn't trying to disguise himself by choosing completely
unrelated names to "avoid post limits" or starting threads with one name
and replying with another, when adding a numerical suffix to his
additional names and sticking with one monnicker per thread would work
just fine.

john: "Not even doing that [...]"
john: "Of course he probably enjoys the inevitable resulting confusion

since his main purpose as a troll seems to be annoyance."

Riiiight.

I presume that would work, and I agree it would avoid confusion. But
maybe he didn't think of it. He's not all that bright, you know. And he
often gives evidence of clinical insanity.

There's a difference between a purpose and a fringe benefit.

I have no idea, since I avoid Google. However, that's his explanation,
and I have no reason to doubt that's why he did it. Of course he could
easily be mistaken about the limits, and is shifting needlessly. Never
attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.

There is good reason to believe that he's insane. He often posts
paranoid fantasies of one sort or another. He's accused many posters (me
included) of being someone named Robert F. Golaszewski, who he seems to
think is persecuting him. He's claimed to be President of the United
States. And if claiming to have put a poster into a pine box is a death
threat, he's spread those all over. And of course he's frequently
incoherent, but the bar is pretty low for creationists already.

He's also threatened people with gas chambers, which is more explicit as
a death threat. The former could, under implausible deniability, be read
as a claim of killfilling (pine is a newsreader).

I was under the impression that death threats are illegal in America.

No it isn't.
It is called capital punishment and will be carried out legally, I
assure you, dimwit.
