June was a bad month for Google. Usually they send me daily reports
on every Chez Watt post, but the system not only broke down, the
archive may be unreliable now that the system's back up. So if I
forgot something you nominated, email it to me and I'll include it in
with July's Watts in August's ballot.

As for the rest, vote early and vote often.

The ones you caught include several that would be hard to improve upon.
173 votes for each of the following five, in no particular order.

If rhyming "Chris" with "piss" is the limit of your poetical aptitude,
it seems we need not warn Carol Ann Duffy about her impending
unemployment.

You, on the other hand, had better not quit your day job, if you've
got one.

The Dole don't pay you enough to employ people.

I here theres a womans boxing club who need sparring partners in your

You could actually *work* & *be good at what you do*, all in one go.

check all of those just in case they were missed Chez Watt entries.

weren't missed nominations, they're just you being stupid.

Here are the Chez Watt winners. Winning authors and nominators are
invited to come forward for credit or blame where appropriate.

This one came out with a very strong lead and wound up in first place.

Well, what can I say? I want to thank everybody and anybody who ever
had anything at all to do with the making of this post. My aim is to
dream without boundaries. Tonight, with you, I see boundaries being
crossed. As a post composer, I am thrilled to be honored here. I don't
have a sense of entitlement or that I deserve this.<sniff>. There are
a lot of great posts that have won the Chez Watt award and a lot of
great posts that haven't. You just do the best you can.<sniff sniff>
Right now I don't know if I have dreamt about this or not. But when
you are in the ocean you must swim. Being on the race for the Chez
Watt , logically I want to win.<bleurrrrrp> I just want to thank
everybody I've ever met in my entire life.<sniff> I don't know what I
did in this life to deserve all of this. I'm just a boy from a trailer
park who had a dream. <wobble>. I get sad, especially for the people
who surround me and the public who might stop me on the streets. It is
a virtual responsibility. I feel like Adam when he said to Eve, 'Back
up, I don't know how big this gets.' I got third place, and I get to
scream and jump a little. But I got to go back to work tomorrow. So I
want to thank my parents, my grandmother <bleurrrp> my colleagues, my
hairdresser and makeup artist, <sniff> the sscript writers, the guy
who brings the coffee around <sniff>, the pet handler, and of
course all you guys out there who voted for me <waiiiiiil>. You guys
are just the greatest, love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
