Now that the fine-tuning of JWST's optics is nearly complete, Dr.
Becky is especially anxious to see images from these targets scheduled
for JWST's prying eye:

1. Trappist-1 is an ultra-cool red dwarf star less than 0.1 solar
mass, surrounded by at least 7 planets orbiting it closer than Mercury
does the Sun. JWST's spectrometer is expected to identify these
planets' atmospheric compositions as they pass between itself and the
star.

2. GN-z11 and HD1 may be the two oldest galaxies observed to date,
formed entirely from the pure hydrogen clouds of the early Universe.
JWST spectrometer is expected to identify their complete spectra,
previously invisible due to the extreme red-shift and faintness of the
light from them.

3. Earendel may be the most distant single star observed to date. JWST
is expected to resolve its light from any neighbor stars.

4. COSMOS field is a 2-degree square of the sky identified by HST as
containing a large number of galaxies and clusters of different ages.
CR7 is a particularly old galaxy within the COSMOS field. JWST is
expected to provide more precise images and spectra for all the
objects within the field.

5. The Milky Way's galactic center appears to be dominated by a
super-massive black hole, as identified by stellar orbits around it.
JWST is expected to provide much higher resolution images of those
stars, perhaps orbiting multiple black holes.
