blingon or blugon?

At dinner today I was reminded by my wife that we were out of lingonsylt
(lingonberry jam) so we should remember to buy some more next time going to
Sweden, the land of lingonsylt.



Which made me remember that I'd recently heard on Swedish Radio (they run
science news every day) about a hybrid between lingon and blueberries,
apparently a natural event. They share the same habitat, and the bees took
care of the rest, I presume. Bees are intelligent.

I would opt for "blingon". It has a nice bling to it, as I am sure
most klingons would agree.

Get real Klingons don't need vitamin C. Klingons don't need to eat
fruit, they are carnivores even if Worf liked prune juice. I'd always
imagined that Gaa was some type of parasitic blood worm that was
harvested from the equivalent of the mosasaur, just getting them would
have been part of the treat.

Vaccinium x intermedium. In Britain first reported in 1887.

Swedish Wikipedia calls in Blingon; German Wikipedia calls it
Bastard-Heidelbeere.

How do the Germans know the maternal parent or is it a Bastard-
Heidelbeere whether its mother or father was a Heidelbeere?
