: When I got to MOUNT.BOB the first question I was asked
: was whether I was friend or foe.
The correct answer is, of course:
"I paid to be bere. Shut up and give me my name tag and souvenir T-shirt."
: Specifically, whether I was a
: Baptist or a BOB-ber. Unbeknowst to the organizers, who had
: booked the campsite months in advance, half of it was rented out
: mere days earlier to a group of Baptist campers. This actually
: turned out to be a GOOD THING, as it (a) was a big campsite
: (camping area really),
piece of relatively flat and dry ground.
: and (b) it provided us with an outgroup.
: Every ingroup, and MOUNT.BOB was definitely an ingroup, needs an
: outgroup, because you just can't develop a good, strong
: Us-and-Them mentality if you don't have a Them. Perhaps there
: could have been better Thems than a group of Baptists, but not
: many.
IHNJHIJLS "I am Them."
: Oh, maybe I need to explain a bit about what MOUNT.BOB
: is, or was,
nonononononononononononoooooooooooooo.
This stuff is wasted on the webtvers. Hit them with a better faq.
: The people at MOUNT.BOB weren't that bizarre really. I
: mean, not any more than the people that I met in other parts of
: my life. Some people were stranger than others, of course, but
: no one that made me think "whoa, YOU are truly bizarre."
this is one of t.b's larger failings.
You're just not as bizarre as you make out. Or as cool.
(Yes, anthropohedron, this means you. I'm sorry, but someone had to tell you
eventually.)
: Also, I have never posted that much, so
: they weren't familar with me. Thus, it was a funky social
: situation. I did what I normally do in such situations. Drawing
: upon my fine command of the English language, I said nothing.
: Well, very little, really. Just quietly hung around, which was
: fine. This contributed of my lack of debauchery tales too.

You'd be more grammatical if you weren't so unaware of the subjunctive.

Dependent on the load. You of all people should know this having stated
a similar truth in response to my high voltage inquiry.

What I learned at Mount.Bob
---------------------------
- If you draw 36 amps for three hours from a typical truck battery, it will
discharge 1.8V and still be able to start the vehicle without any problem.
- My penchant for having really awful sex at bobs is not my fault, nor the
fault of any of the partners involved.
- In climates where there is extreme temperature variance and high humidity,
it is important to protect one's sleeping bag from condensation.
- There are more good-looking people in talk.bizarre than any other newsgroup
whose parties I have attended.
- After a bit of arrack, anybody becomes good-looking.
- If you push Eastman 7239 motion picture film two stops, the shadows shift
to the red by about 3CC and the D-max comes up a hell of a lot.
- Group hugs can cause physical injury, but only if done correctly.
- You can solder with a propane stove but not a white-gas stove.
- Green chili chile requires an NRC permit.
I just bring this up right now, because I currently have film of Cohen's
butt running on the Moviola as we speak.

Bullshit. There is no U, there is no US, and there is no conspiracy.
There is only separate human beings that act as if they hadn't had the
slightest idea of what's going on. It's a HUGE nuthouse. Nobody will
EVER understand it (except me) because nobody has the MENTAL CAPACITY to
perceive the complexity of it. You, my friend, would need YEARS of math
and science to figure it out. And in the end you will realize that it is
like a huge fractal. It never ends, it just changes. As far as I am
concerned, I HAVE to be separate from you, because I am the OBSERVER of
the game. I leave it to you to fuck the game plan over. I simply DON'T
CARE.
Now FUCK OFF.

Kids' stuff. One rushes back into it thinking it's a familiar lair and
trips over the minor forgotten traps within.
