The troll of trolls drowned in Hawaii. Coroner Richard Sexton stated that Mr. Carasso had been sexually assaulted by a dolphin, causing his death.

The Medical Examiner's office has identified the 47-year-old northern California man whose body was pulled from the ocean off Turtle Bay Resort Friday as Roger Carasso.
An autopsy will be done to determine cause of death of Carasso who was from San Rafael.
Paramedics treated and took the victim to the hospital in critical condition after he was pulled out of the ocean at 12:50 p.m. Friday. where he died.
The case has been classified as an unattended death, pending to outcome of the autopsy,

That would mean that I first read his posts when he was fifteen. At that time, few teenagers would have had the use of a computer. If you're sure that this is the same Roger Carasso, I shall miss him, even though he's been off the Net for years and years.

It's the same Carasso. Roger's wife Bonnie posted about it on his Facebook page.
Knowing Roger, my first thought was disbelief, and "Roger, how low would you stoop to troll a bunch of newbs." But after reading over it, I realized Carasso, the troller of all trollers, the self-proclaimed "father of the internet" was gone.
His last piece of internet mockery was the creation of the "Fans of Kenny" facebook group - a page dedicated to trying to get Kenny Rogers, Kenny Loggins, and Kenny G together as a supergroup.
If you live in the bay area and were friends with Roger but out of touch, here's Bonnie's comment about the funeral and shiva:
"David's funeral will be on Friday, January 30th at 9:00 am, at Beth Jacob Congregation, followed by short graveside service. The children and I will sit shiva in our home in San Rafael and the last two in Oakland."

Presumably, he'll be transported in a black, windowless van, escorted by
a chorus of chain saws...
