For those who are wondering, the monitor is an oscilloscope, not a character or graphics monitor, and the grid laminated or silkscreened to the face of the tube (most of which seems to be gone despite the screen being behind a sheet of glass) would be used to determine the values that the computer is displaying, much like a slide rule.

I'm sure the case is a school desk because neither Poland or the rest of Eastern Europe was swimming in riches during the Soviet era when it came to the common citizen so they had to use what was available.

(also, this website seems to be about as old as the computer in question. Sign in with Myspace. Really?)
