Hi John and Alex

I was going to talk to you and the others at FC tonight,  however it looks as though it might be a busy evening, so I thought I'd email instead.

Back in the day, we all used to wait for the lights to come up to indicate we should start our introductions; lately we've been waiting for the music to stop. A few of us have been a bit confused if it's around seven o'clock and perhaps the music hasn't actually stopped but is a gap or change of track.

Instead, is it better if we simply wait for the front door of the auditorium to close and use that as our indication to start? Will that mean it's a bit less stressful for you at the desk, too, if there are any stragglers?  We've been doing the door thing as well, but if we only use the door to tell us to start then it might be a bit clearer for everyone.

I realise we may still need to wait a minute or so for the music to stop once the door is closed, as you can't magic yourself into two places if someone's still at the desk, but it might just make it a little clearer...

Sorry for rambling!

Will chat later :- )

Julie
