The#DistrictIftar2018 is set for 7pm-9:30pm at the Wilson District Government Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004. Feel free to invite your neighbors and co-workers and share with them the news that DC Mayor Muriel Bowser intends to proclaim, May 31, 2018, as Serve and Fast with Your Muslim Neighbor Day in the District of Columbia. On this day, people across DC (and throughout the region) are encouraged to show solidarity with their Muslim neighbors by engaging in acts of service to support those in need while abstaining from food and water. And, after the day of fasting, we invite people to feast with government, business, and faith leaders along with other residents of the District of Columbia. Attendees can expect to enjoy a dinner catered by Red Torque Restaurant, located on 6th Street, in Northwest Washington, DC and Sweet Tooth Bakery. Along with this, guests have an opportunity to network with good people, hear remarks from an array of leaders, and recognize the service of Muslim Americans to the District of Columbia.The Iftar is free of charge, thanks to the generous support of AMA’s partners and hosts, but advance registration is mandatory and can be done online by clicking on the RSVP button above and below.Please find below additional details on #DistrictIftar2018.
