<<First Name>>,
What would it take for America to have trains, planes and other infrastructure like the nation of Wakanda in the Black Panther movie?
As you start your weekend, don't forget to RSVP for the STEM4US! Black History Month Infrastructure Workforce Summit hosted by NASDAQ OTX (NASDAQ) set for Tuesday, February 27, 2018, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Summit is being held at NASDAQ, the preferred trading platform for many in the tech sector, at 1100 New York Avenue, N.W., Suite 310 East Tower, WDC, 20005. In Panther, Wakanda was the most advanced nation on earth. It’s levitating rails, high speed aircraft, and ability to turn any car into a remote controlled vehicle were just a few examples of its infrastructural superiority.
Hear from education and business leaders discussing what skills our children are going to need for tomorrow’s infrastructure jobs. Find out what it's going to take for America to become a real life Wakanda.
Also enjoy a delicious lunch catered by local favorite, Sweet Tooth Bakery.
See below for more details and to register today, space is limited. |

 | STEM4US! Urges DC Leaders to Rehire Former DC Chancellor Antwan Wilson Recently, Dr. Antwan Wilson resigned his post as DC Schools Chancellor after approving a transfer of his daughter to attend one of the best high school's in the District. This move was in violation of rules apparently developed around the era of racial discrimination in the District. These rules were designed to keep African American students from flocking into schools in affluent neighborhoods.
STEM4US! urges District leaders to return Dr. Wilson to his post and to afford him the chance to make amends by once and for all fixing long-neglected DC schools. We urge that Dr. Wilson be armed with the STEM and other resources needed to make all DC schools just as good as schools in more affluent neighborhoods.
Click the picture above for a video on why stands by Dr. Wilson. Contact DC Mayor Bowser, Chairman Mendelson, Councilman Grosso, and Councilman Robert Whiteand urge them to give Antwan the opportunity to return to his job.
Also, join STEM4US! tomorrow, Saturday, for a Rally to support DC teachers who also stand with Dr. Wilson. Read below for more details on the Rally. |
