This piece of work is fairly controversial for my blog, considering the fact that I have an existing picture of Queen Elizabeth II in good heath and spirits. However, it is the time I spent in the UK that resonates with me. I lived with a middle class family in the west midlands, and though I wouldn't say my time in Dudley, Stourbridge was anything but comfortable, there is a distinct sadness about the passing of a golden era. Where once Stourbridge was a booming hub of heavy industry, a diaspora of youth leaves derelict factories, unused locks where canal boats used to ply, and the old who converge everyday at the local mall to wander its corridors.
