Partial TALEN binding

Hi everyone! I know that TALEN specificity is very high, but anyone has references or has experienced that TALEN could partially bind to dsDNA? I mean, I'm testing TAL effector but as transcriptional activator (VP64), and when I do Blast to the target sequence, it only has full identity to the target sequence with no gaps, but there's a lot of other little sequences where it can bind but "partially", I mean, from the 16 bp original target sequence, it has identity to 15 bp from another sequence which is not of my interest, but my doubt is that if TAL effector will be partially attached to that site of it won't be attached at all with no further activity. Do I explain it clear? Sorry for my bad english and thanks you all in advance for your advises !
