Each of the $109 separate-admission Disneyland After Dark events character meet-and-greets and after-hours access to attractions along with themed decor, food and merchandise. The events begin at 5 or 6 p.m. and run until midnight or 1 a.m. Tickets go on sale Dec. 3 for annual passholders and Dec. 4 for the general public.
The teaser trailer for Lightyear was a big win for both Disney and Pixar in its first 24 hours, coming only behind The Incredibles 2. Set to focus on the story that inspired the Buzz Lightyear line of toys in the Toy Story films, Lightyear will see Chris Evans voice the famous space ranger. The film is directed by Angus MacLane, who co-directed Finding Dory and previously directed the Toy Story short, Small Fry, and the Halloween special, Toy Story of Terror!
In the past year, various reports have come out regarding Pixar employees being demoralized after Disney chose to send Soul and Luca straight to Disney+, not only avoiding a theatrical release but not putting them as a Premier Access title like Raya and the Last Dragon or The Jungle Cruise. 2022 sees not only Lightyear from Pixar, but also the release of Turning Red which are both set to get full theatrically releases. After two years where Pixar films were released on Disney+, it appears that audience demand for a new Pixar film, particularly one with a new spin on a fan-favorite character, could be what everyone was waiting for.
According to Deadline, the teaser trailer for Lightyear garnered 83 million views in its first 24 hours. That puts it above the first 24 hours for fellow Pixar films like Toy Story 4 (62 million), Soul (32 million), and Luca (28 million) and even outperformed Marvel's Eternals (77 million) and Disney's Cruella (71 million). Lightyear is now the second-best performing Pixar trailer in its first 24 hours, behind only Incredibles 2 (114 million). Lightyear stayed in Global Twitter trends and climbed to number 1 where it stayed most of the day after the trailer dropped, with the teaser also being the number 1 story on Reddit.
This is a promising start for its box office, and Lightyear will open in theaters on the third weekend of June, a weekend that Pixar has used to great success for Inside Out, Finding Dory, Incredibles 2, and Toy Story 4. While the 2022 summer season will certainly be crowded, with June also seeing the release of Jurassic World: Dominion and Transformers: Rise of the Beast, the impressive reaction to the Lightyear teaser trailer could indicate that it could be a much bigger hit than anyone was anticipating. This will mark the third time that a Jurassic World and Pixar movie have gone up against each other at the June box office. Inside Out opened the week after Jurassic World, and while coming in at number 2 on opening weekend, it went on to become the fourth highest-grossing movie of 2015, while Incredibles 2 beat Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on worldwide charts in 2018.

According to Negroni, the much longer time the dinosaurs had to evolve allowed them to develop their own intelligence: in the film, they have a language and practice farming and animal husbandry. As a result of this earlier concern about an oil crisis, humanity develops technology faster, and this would explain the advanced technology seen in The Incredibles, which takes place in the 1950-60s, and the survival of humans much after Cars. The zero-point energy discovered by Syndrome would be the "human energy" so important in this universe.[3]
After a judicial decision, Carl has to give up his old house to a corporation that is expanding in the city, while in WALL-E, Buy n Large is the cause for polluting the Earth and wiping out life in the distant future, as a result of technology overreach. Negroni proposes that the two movies refer to the same corporation. Charles Muntz invents collars which allow dogs to express verbally. This would be another use of the old magic. Furthermore, Negroni concludes that Up may take place after Toy Story 3, because an easter egg in the latter shows a postcard from Ellie and Carl. Luxo, Inc. is seen once again near the beginning. Carl's pills come from "Luxo Drugs".
Communication between humans and animals is first seen, with Remy mimicking to Linguini and controlling his movements, and later his entire rat colony working in Gusteau's kitchen. Remy has outstanding abilities in cooking, better than any human seen, perhaps even Gusteau; he also walks on two paws, cleans his hands and reads. It is shown that his colony, especially his father, sees humans as enemies, prompting a negative sentiment in animals towards humans. Negroni suggests that after the events of the movie, the main villain, Chef Skinner, spread the rumour that animals, or at least some of them, were intelligent and capable of even outperforming humans.
A postcard of Carl and Ellie in Andy's room, an easter egg in the movie, puts it chronologically before or after Up as it is unknown when Carl gave this postcard to Andy, it could have been given after the events of Up. Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear shows a strong animosity towards humans after his owner Daisy replaced him. Moved by hatred, he starts to lead a toy population and believes that every toy will be sooner or later discarded by the humans who own them. This provides another reason for why human-made objects are motivated to take over. In this film, we briefly see that Buzz Lightyear's batteries are produced by the mega corporation Buy n Large (BnL), which shows great importance in later films.
In WALL-E, BnL had to send the remaining humans into space in starships in the early 22nd century. Negroni suggests that the Cars franchise takes place after these events (and before the events of WALL-E, which is set about eight centuries after the ships departed), when Earth was dominated by the machines (cars). While the Cars franchise is clearly set on Earth, no humans are seen, suggesting it may take place in a different time period, possibly after they were wiped out. We can also see that there are still some animals on Earth, because some birds are seen on a telephone wire during the "Life is a Highway" montage.
Centuries thereafter, the world is highly polluted, with the only seen inhabitants being WALL-E and a cockroach he befriends, suggesting a survival of insects in the midst of this apocalyptical environment. Humans are extremely dependent on machines, which made them ignorant about their past and purpose. The Axiom's autopilot is an example of authoritarian machines fighting to maintain the current order where humans are dumb and decadent. The tree that grows at the end of the movie is described as the same tree near the ant colony in A Bug's Life. The year 2775 is referenced as the start of Captain B. McCrea's rule.
Onward is a 2020 American animated urban fantasy adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film was directed by Dan Scanlon, produced by Kori Rae, and written by Scanlon, Jason Headley, and Keith Bunin.[a] The film stars the voices of Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer. Set in a suburban fantasy world for the modern day, the film follows two elf brothers named Ian and Barley Lightfoot (Holland and Pratt) who set out on a quest to find an artifact that will temporarily bring back their deceased father named Wilden (Kyle Bornheimer) for twenty-four hours before the time is up. Along the way, their journey is filled with cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries.
After directing Monsters University (2013), Scanlon was encouraged to develop personal stories. The concept of Onward is inspired by the death of Scanlon's father, who died in a car accident when Scanlon and his older brother were very young children, and their relationship with each other. He began to write the story after hearing an audio clip of his father. The film was announced at D23 Expo in July 2017, with the title being revealed in December 2018, alongside the voice cast. The animation team chose to give the film's magic a unique style after studying several animated films featuring magic in order to fit with its suburban setting. Development on Onward lasted for six years, on an approximate between $175-200 million budget. Composers Mychael and Jeff Danna were hired to compose the film's musical score, with Brandi Carlile contributing an original song for the film.
Traveling to the mountains, Ian and Barley narrowly escape the police and a motorcycle gang of sprites, relying on Ian's new spell-casting abilities and Barley's role-playing game tricks. Colt Bronco catches up to the boys and forces them to come home, Ian agrees, but as he starts the van, he drives away, leading to a wild police chase. When they are pursued by the police, Barley sacrifices Guinevere to cause a landslide, blocking their pursuers. "Raven's Point" turns out to be a series of raven statues leading them into a cave. As they explore the cave, Barley confesses that he was too afraid to say goodbye to Wilden when he was dying. The brothers evade a series of traps, including a Gelatinous Cube that dissolves anything it touches. Emerging from the cave, they find themselves back in front of Ian's high school. Ian lashes out at Barley for leading them on a wild-goose chase and walks away with Wilden after he goes as far as to calling Barley a screwup and for ruining his chance to have the one thing he never had.
