Thanks for reply. My iCloud Drive folders and my files are physicaly presented on my hard drive.
That means they are synchronized to iCloud and NOT deleted from my computer, but still physicaly saved on drive.
My iCloud Drive path is not visible in DPP, neither any from "invisible" folders like Library or symbolic links pointed to iCloud Drive i have created.
Which path do you see for your iCloud Drive in DPP (on MacOS), please?
I'm on Monterey 12.2.1 and DPP 4.16.
I have allowed DPP to access all files in OS security settings.

Thank you very much for your help! I can see the reason now. Your files are stored in the subfolder under Desktop folder, which is stored in the iCloud Drive ...
My folders/files are in the top level of iCloud Drive. There is no way to these folders in DPP.
But after moving my folders/files into the Desktop folder, they are immediatelly visible in DPP.
Once again, thank you for your time and effort!

Unfortunately every now and then things like this tend to happen with iClouds automatic folders and the only guaranteed fix for this problem in the past has been time. As odd as it sounds in all cases of iCloud problems like this in the past the problem seems to right itself over time. Please could you wait a few days and see if one folder disappears?

I have an old MBP (running El Capitan) with the home folder name: firstlast (that's made up, but you get it). I just got a new computer, and during setup it suggested "firstlast" again as my home folder, and I hesitated, but moved forward with it. So, I have two different apple computers with the same home folder and user account name.

Today, on the new machine, I set up Filevault and used the iCould choice for the recovery key (which I know means I set up iCloud to be able to reset my computer password). I later changed my new computer password to a stronger one. Then I wanted to change the old computer password as well. When I turned on that computer, I got the ? blinking folder. After some work, I got it going, and when I tried to sign in, it wouldn't take the old password, but it took the one I set up for the OTHER, new computer. It seems that maybe iCloud changed it on the old computer in the background?? It's kind of freaky.

Anyway, my question is, do you think it will screw things up if I change the home folder name on my old computer to something else, like "flast" instead of "firstlast", so that the computers have different home folders? I feel like having two computers with the same home folder name is asking for trouble... (a bit of which I seemed to have today!)

There's nothing wrong with this; I've had two Macs (running different macOS versions) for decades with same-named home folders and content, synched via iCloud. I find it very convenient to have the same content immediately available on both machines: I don't have to remember what's where, or what name is a file that's on the machine in front of me.

I would like to copy several large folders to iCloud to keep as another online-only backup in addition to my various drives. How do I add docs to iCloud without copying them to my internal drive and then setting them to online only?

Maybe you want to use iCloud Drive, which is a superset of iCloud services, rather than plain sync of your Documents folder to iCloud?
I think iCloud Drive can be configured so that a specific app can store files/folders there.
Use iCloud.com in your browser to drag-and-drop files to and from your computer:

Using the iCloud web tools restricts uploads to individual files, not folders. That would be a real problem both for the time involved as well as the complexity of recreating the folder structure. I was excited to try it and instantly thwarted.

You can put Folders on iCloud Drive by dragging from an external to the iCloud Drive folder on your computer, but this uses internal disk space. I dragged a 400GB folder from an external drive and it uploaded fine but my internal space went down by 400GB. I could not have uploaded more than the free space on the internal this way.

Find the folder on your PC that you'd like the Photos app to include, and choose Select Folder to add it to the app.

The Photos app will show updated content from the new folders as you add and remove content.

Unfortunately, I do not have a Mac computer. I do not have problems syncing other files via iCloud. I have imported files created on my workstation in Dorico 5 Pro into the iPad Dorico. I just want to be able to edit the files on both machines.
Maybe a re-install might work?

To check, login to your account online at www.icloud.com and tap Settings. At the top of the next page, you should see Time Zone/Region, which should state where you are. If it doesn't, you can change this and the time zone problem will be resolved across all your devices.

This article is specifically for Mac Computers. If you need to know how to remove files from OneDrive on a PC, choose this article. ProPresenter7 stores content locally to the hard drive by default. The default location for ProPresenter files is the /Documents/ProPresenter folder on a Mac computer. During the process of setting up a user account on the Mac you are prompted to sign into an Apple ID. When signing into this account, you will be prompted to turn on iCloud Drive, which may include the process of syncing your Desktop and Documents folders to iCloud. This is not something that we recommend at this time due to the optimizations needed to work well with syncing data over iCloud Drive.

To change this, you can either move your ProPresenter data to a new location by copying this folder to a custom location, or stop syncing your data to iCloud Drive. Our recommendation would be to stop syncing with iCloud Drive on computers being used for ProPresenter, but we will cover how to change the location as well.

Once you choose Options, you can uncheck "Desktop & Documents Folders" and this will prompt you with a notification that your data will be removed from your local computer, but be available on iCloud Drive.

It is important here that you copy data from iCloud Drive into the Local Documents folder, instead of moving it because if you have multiple computers using the same Apple ID, you can remove this data from their computer by removing it from iCloud Drive.

You can make iCloud selective sync on your Mac easily. After setting, only the selected folders will be synced to iCloud successfully. And now, you can follow the operations below to learn how to deliver this goal:

iCloud is Apple's online storage service that allows users to store data including photos, music, and their iOS applications on Apple's remote computer servers. Then, all these data can be accessed by any Apple device running iOS 5 or later. Each user of Apple devices can install iCloud and get 5 GB of free storage space.

Although you cannot sync iCloud Drive to OneDrive directly via desktop app or web app, you can sync files between the two cloud storage via the auto-sync folder on your computer. Generally, when we download and install the desktop app of iCloud or OneDrive, they will create a sync folder on your Windows or Mac by default.

In this way, you can automatically sync files between different cloud drives, but it will occupy your local storage and you need to keep your computer running to keep the synchronization tasks running in real-time.

Besides using the sync folders of iCloud Drive and OneDrive, you can also rely on a third-party cloud sync tool like AnyTrans to sync files between two cloud storage directly. AnyTrans is a free tool that allows you to sync iCloud to Google Photos, OneDrive, Google Drive, and so on. You can follow the steps below to sync iCloud Drive with OneDrive.

4. Name your sync task, click the Add Source button to add one of your added accounts as the sync source. You can choose individual folders on cloud or the whole cloud drive as the backup source.

A notification may appear on your iPhone, asking if you trust your computer. Alternatively, it may ask if you allow access to your photos and videos. In either case, say that you do. Then enter your device passcode when prompted.

On a Windows 10 computer, click Continue, then click Import again. On some devices, you only have to click Import Selected instead of Continue > Import. Then your computer will immediately begin to import photos from iPhone to PC.

When your iPhone connects to your computer, an AutoPlay window should open. Click Import Photos and Videos (ensure you choose the option with Photos beneath it, rather than the Dropbox option).

You now need to paste these folders of photos into the Pictures folder on your computer. Click Pictures on the left of the screen. Right-click on a blank space in the main part of the window, then select Paste. Your folders of photos will begin to transfer from your iPhone!

You should now see the thumbnails for all of your iPhone photos. Now you can copy and paste specific photos straight from the 100APPLE folder into your Pictures folder (or any other folder on your computer).

Is your iCloud running low on storage after macOS upgrade? You might need to stop iCloud from syncing desktop folders and documents on your Macs using macOS. With the introduction of macOS Sierra and continuing on to all versions of macOS, Apple provided this feature to automatically sync your documents and desktop folders on your Mac to your iCloud.

Many users who have limited iCloud storage often find that their MacBook documents and desktop folders are eating up a lot of their iCloud space. The continuous syncing operation on your Mac can be annoying as well.
