Hi new member here!!! Bought a new family caravan last summer and had
nothing but problems since, Eg: problems with the caravan which have
never been sorted, restaurant - food not being upto expectations, club
house- never being able to get a seat, hoseseasons holiday makers
being very abusive, noisy nights in the park, being ripped off with
park fees, etc etc!!!!!!! Discussed selling caravan back to the
company and they will only offer me peanuts!!!!!! offered an upgrade
but totally overpriced and upto 7 years older than what we have now!
Feel like we are being ripped off big style and have spoken to other
park owners who feel the same would it be worth sending a leaphlet out
to all owners to join the forum and offer their opions? Any help/
advice would be much appreciated.

Not good news for you at all - I know a few this has happened to.

Quite simply, anyone shown around that site can't be overwhelmed with
it - it's excellent at first site. BUT:

You pay a hefty premium to other sites in the area for the caravan
itself (check the RSP£ at http://www.willerbyuk.com/pricelist.php?van_id=31&type=uk
this Richmond I understand sells on Talacre Beach sites for around £32
- £34k!) Don't forget their buying power within that and the same
caravan is around £6 to £8 cheaper on Prestaven Sands!!! You want to
sell it back and they'll want less than want they paid from the
manufacturer. For an overpriced £32k van - you'd be looking at around
£15k off them in the first year - unless you upgrade!! (yes more money
from you!). You sell it privately and they want 15% of your final
price - sell it for a low price you might think? They have first
refusal on offer price to buy themselves and then they can still vet
prospective owners for suitability to the park - so you may have not
got your sale then!!!

Then you pay fees (all in over £4k this year). Fees that have risen
by around £650 in 3 seasons.

No member perks - Hoseseasons rentals have same facilities and
pricing. If the pool is busy - your £4k won't see you in before a
holiday-maker!

Tried to make this forum work with a "card drop" on all cars on parks
1 and 4 but still less than 20 memebers. The owners do on the 30th
should be a good opportune time to spread the word! I'll get more
cards printed! BUT SPREAD THE WORD!
