Hi, Our experience on Talacre Beach .....
After spending 4 very happy years on Point of Ayr we moved to Talacre Beach this season for the facilities.
We have now given up caravanning .......
You can't get into the cabaret, the Park is very expensive indeed - the bar prices are way above any others in the area.
Nothing seems to get done unless you are willing to give back handers.
We bought a van for 40K in April of this year - we secured a buyer for the van for 25K but Ray made sure there were plenty of reasons why our buyer would be better off spending 45K on one of their vans. We had to sell to Lloyds in the end for a measly 11K - what happened to the value in 6 months... - beware if you try to sell as although Talacre Beach say you are allowed to sell privately, they will do anything to see you get nothing. Not sure how they sleep at night - I know I wouldn't be able to if I did that to people.
My advice to anyone on Talacre Beach is to get off as fast as you can, my advice to anyone thinking of going on to Talacre Beach --- think twice, maybe Three times then say no way. -There are plenty of other sites in the area that employ genuine staff and look after their customers - after all if it wasn't for the caravan owners, these people wouldn't have a job.
The Salesman who sold us our van is Chris Pratt, My husband, an ex Ssgt in the Royal Military Police has a saying - what comes around, goes around. Chris has cost us 30K ........my husband holds him wholly responsible.
Good Luck, God Bless and a Merry Christmas to all.
