Talacre Beach Site fees up AGAIN! Another £250 = over £1000 extra in 4 years!

What a week for bills from the old place!

Half year general rates £140 odd

Half year water £90 ish

Gas bottles up a further £7 (+15%)

Site fees up £250 - well above inflation yet again!!! Their defence,
staff wages (I'd accept an increase inline to the 7% increase we've
seen and appraoching 25% over 4 years!), fuel (oh, what does the
expensive beer and food in the club subsidise then?), happy staff (one
of the Sunday Times "nicest businesses to work for" - smiley happy
people (not!). And who gives a damn that they are favoured providers
to Hoseseasons - not me for one! They can walk away after their
holiday and leave us to pick up the tab of "making them a preferred
holiday destination through Hoseseasons!" - what a nonsence!!!!!

I don't understand the logic of:

Pushing site fees to over £4000 per year (plus all the other fees)
when there are so many plots empty. Why should those who buy with
them and stick to their first van be penalised for those who upgrade
and get fixed site fees for life of around £2000!!!

Let's have a bouycot the clubhouse session and hit them where it
hurts!!!! It needs your support!

Totally agree with you!!. There is a five star site up the road and
the site fees are £2100, they have no club or pool etc but you can
join a gym with a pool for £30 a month and there are loads of places
to have a beer.
We are utterly sadened and disgusted that, under the current climate,
the fees have gone up so much. We expected upto a £100 increase and
hoped for a freeze as we approaching recession. The owner is just
greedy. We will be leaving and yet more plots will become empty
because of his greed. The caravan site is good, but not good enough to
be in the £4000 site fee range. We like a lot of the people on the
site and will be sad to leave, but it might take us a year but we're
definately off!!!
In the meantime we will boycott the club.
