Does hyper-local always mean geographically?

I've an interesting proposition in that for me 'local' often refers
not just to geographic but to common interest of the audience -
whether it be a hobby (such as photography - I run www.ExposureLeeds.org)
or even an employer (I work in Internal Communications).

If anyone thinks they share this interest I'd love to compare notes on
how this can impact on HyperLocal journalism.

Regards, Jon
