TakeStock 2 Release 73 has been released.
This version contains the following enhancements:
- Improved the performance of stock information retrieval and did away with the Use authentication data provider setting.
- Added the column First Trade that displays the date a security commenced trading.
and the following fixes:
- [Bug #267] Selecting a portfolio’s inception date when creating a snapshot causes the application to crash if the portfolio contains positions that were purchased before 1 Jan 1980. No data loss occurs.
- [Bug #268] The application allows a position’s purchase date to be set to before the security commenced trading.
- [Bug #269] Values displayed in a portfolio’s % Cost Basis column aren’t refreshed when a position in the portfolio is added, deleted or modified.
- [Bug #270] The application is unable to retrieve the latest stock information on some Windows 7 systems.
- [Bug #271] The application shouldn’t update the Updated timestamp at the top right of the window if it’s unable to retrieve the latest stock information.
To upgrade your copy of TakeStock 2:
- If you're currently using TakeStock 2, just do Help | Check for new version to upgrade. This command works for both standard and portable installations.
