First Step -> Reframing the argument:
1) Stop using rhetoric (whether it's conservative or liberal, the
message is then filtered the same).
2) The use of common language. The public must relate and
understand the terminology that is being presented.
3) Lay out the problems in a short answer form, immediately
following with a solution. We cannot continue pointing things out
without having a solution in place.
4) Begin to make Take Back Trenton visible and "acceptable" ->
This cannot be looked at as the radical left taking over, but instead
as the PUBLIC taking control.
Priority:
Educating students to build numbers in the movement.
Actions:
A workshop session will be set up to inform people specifically on
budget issues within New Jersey and possible solutions to these
issues. One workshop will be held in North Jersey and the other in
South Jersey, so that individuals from around the state may find one
or the other more accessible. The North Jersey workshop will most
likely be held in William Paterson University in the late evening for
a possible series of three days (each day would target different
issues/solutions/audiences). The South Jersey workshop will most
likely be held in Rowan University, also during the late evening.
Both of the workshops should occur simultaneously.
A tentative time period of the workshop is the last week of
March/first week of April.
More details on this to be discussed during the next meeting.
