WHEN: Saturday, 1/11 - 10am / (HIKE BEGINS: 1015am)
WHERE: LAKE HOLLYWOOD (aka - Hollywood Reservoir) to Hollywood Sign - 6.5 Mile Hike
WHY: SUPERBLOOM - Flowers and the green hills around the Hollywood Sign. Come see one of the best views in LA of the Hollywood Sign and walk around the Lake Hollywood a massive reservoir. Be sure to look for the bear heads on the dam.

Nestled above Hollywood in the Santa Monica mountains, this beautiful hike will go all the way around Lake Hollywood, and have amazing views of the city, hills, and the famous Hollywood Sign above. Built in 1924, the Hollywood Reservoir was created with the Mulholland Dam and holds over 2.5 Billion gallons of water. The dam also has some amazing sculptures, the favorite of most people at the massive bear heads which look over Hollywood below.

HIKE LOCATION:
Meet at the gate at the base of the hill on Lake Hollywood Dr. Park on the street and wait for the group. We will start at 1015am.

After the loop around the lake, we will hike up to the Hollywood Sign, and past the Wisdom Tree, returning to the cars via Burbank Trail. This is a great hike for friends visiting LA.
Hike is approximately a 2-2.5 hrs. intermediate hike. Loop around lake is virtually flat, the hike up to the sign does have elevation gain, but it is a moderate walk up to Mt. Lee.
