HI all,            Daina is leading a 'Lazy Hike' on Sunday in the Tianmu area, leaving at 10:15 am. Details are up on the Facebook group, but for all those who haven't signed up, here are the main details. ny thanks to Daina for giving up her Sunday to take people out on a hike - hoping she gets a good group to join.   Sunday September 8th at 10:30 am Zhongshan Sec. 7 Bus Circle. See you in front of the High Life (convience store with a pink sign).

• I'm going to walk the Tienmu Steps to coffee. Anyone who would like to join this low paced and relaxing hike is welcome. We will meet at 10:15 AM at ZhongShan Sec. 7's bus circle. Meet at the High Life. We will go up a hill in a suburban neighborhood and then up some stairs for a while. These are the Tienmu Steps. Its about 20 minutes of steps and then it becomes very flat for another 20 minutes. After a few more minutes we will be in the Yangming Shan neighborhood near the Taipei European School. There is a small local coffee shop we can have a cool (or hot) drink at. After coffee we can walk back down by a different route (TBA) or you can zip back down via a bus or cab. Like I said, this is a lazy walk. Meet at 10:15 AM at ZhongShan Sec. 7 bus circle. Buses from Jiantan or Shilin MRT: 220, 267, 685. From Shipa 224. Other bus from I don't know where: 680. Other buses are listed on Google Maps, but they are all in Chinese. The hike is mostly shaded. You do not need a lot of water. You do not need any fancy hiking kit.
