Set taint dynamically

Hello all,

Is it possible to set what is taint dynamically (lets say when application starts to execute user can provide exactly what is taint) and compute Taint propagation only for that specified taint with Taindroid? If so could suggest me the ways to do that?

Certainly, it is possible but it would require some thoughts as to how you would receive signals (taint start and taint stop) from the user  and have the run time set a flag for these inputs (I assume that you want to taint certain text input). Perhaps, this paper can give you some ideas although this system was built for Windows application analysis.http://appanalysis.org/privacyscope/osr_tainteraser.pdf
