It could be bad drivers hanging the install, ensure there are no bad drivers. I had a wireless card making an update constantly getting to 74% then rolling back a year or so ago. I had to remove the hardware and then the issue resolved, so is there common hardware/drivers for the affected machines?

I just bought ArcGIS Pro 3.0 Personal license to use on a Windows 11 PC. The install fails with a message that I need Windows Desktop Runtime 6.0.5 x64 or better. I installed ver 6.0.6 but still get the same error message.

There's a ".NET Runtime" and a ".NET Desktop Runtime" - please ensure you've installed the ".NET Desktop Runtime" and not the other. The .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.6 installer can be found here: -us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-desktop-6.0.6-windows-x64-insta...

Thank you @EugenioArima That helped us today! For some reason all of our computers started crashing Pro 2.9.3 this morning upon opening the Symbology Pane - yesterday it all worked fine and there were no Windows updates showed installed last night. We checked and one computer didn't show a .NET Desktop Runtime installed at all and the other 3 showed .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.9 x86 installed. Once all of us uninstalled .NET Desktop Runtime x86 and installed x64 we were able to upgrade to Pro 3.0.1 and everything works again. No idea what ran last night to cause ArcGIS Pro to stop working this morning. Also why is Windows automatically installing the wrong x86 instead of x64? Mysteries. @CraigWilliams maybe this will help other people.

ArcGIS (seemingly out of the blue) began crashing whenever the symbology pane was opened. I tried to repair the program, tried it under the admin profile, then decided the ol "uninstall and reinstall would work."

Now I have downloaded and reinstalled/"repaired" complete ArcGis Pro, which was finalized without any complaints. Starting the Programm ist still refused pointing to a missing .NET Desktop - which IS available and installed.

I am trying to install UHD graphics driver on my new PC build. I have tried vendor files and the Intel files, all give the error message "Something went wrong. No driver was found that can be installed on the current device. Exit Code 8".

My issue is that when I remove the PCI graphics card, set the BIOS to internal graphics, I get no display output except for the BIOS page. That means I can't get to Windows to install any graphics drivers.

3.) Since I can't get to Windows without the PCI graphics card, I can't see device manager. With the card, I can see the warning triangle, it's warning my PCI card drivers are out of date. When I try yo add a new device, Windows says none found.

This morning I used the video card, entered Windows. I intentionally uninstalled the video card drivers, windows added the basic video driver (not specific to NVIDA video card). I exited from Windows, set BIOS to CPU graphics. When this choice is made, BIOS turns off CMS mode, so I set back to Auto. Turned CSM back on and started Windows. Since only the Windows Basic video driver was running, I followed the article steps 1-9 to add Intel UHD 770 driver. This driver now appears in Device Manager, Windows tried to re-add the video card driver, and I again removed the driver and unistalled the driver software. Shut down Windows, exit to BIOS. Tried returning to CPU Graphics, BIOS again disabled CSM mode. Reset to graphics mode to Auto, exited BIOS, booted Windows. Intel UHD driver shows up in Device Manager. Exited Windows, powered down and removed video card. Power up, BIOS only showing on monitor. Windows does not run, display is still blank.

Item 2: I don't understand the error in the attached image file. Does this mean if I'm using CSM, the integrated graphics are disabled? It does not state that in the motherboard or BIOS manual from ASUS.

Using the latest chrome, firefox and IE (It DOES seem to install a bogus named VPN network adapter, but trying to dial just suddenly disconnects) I'm currently unable to install the client using either automated or manual means.

I'm aware of the early preview status of windows 10 but I'm hoping this help it getting a faster solution :) also, if anyone knows a workaround and can post it here for the benefit of us all I'll be greatly pleased.

tried to remove the private-invites-signature.txt and run again and it did not work so I uninstalled docker and installed again still wonth launch the docker application. I can however see that the DockerForWindows service is running but it wont allow me to connect to docker. and no icon in the taskbar. still think this must have been something in last windows update that caused this. any ideas?

@rjohnsoninterica gave the hint for me. But for me restarting the Windows Management Instrumentation service did not work. Instead, I restarted all running Hyper-V services directly. After that, I could install it again successfully.

When installing the update on any of our windows servers that are server 2016 build 1604, windows throws the error saying windows couldn't complete the updates undoing changes. Sometimes this will completely brick the server or successfully uninstall the update, been 50-50 for me so far. Have tried this on 4 servers so far. I have done the dism restore, sfc /scannow, turn off windows updates services, renamed software redistribution folder, and have the service stack update KB5011570 installed on all the servers. These are all Vmware Esxi vm machines fyi. A few of the servers were completely unrecoverable from normal recovery methods through the windows recovery tools such as last known good, running chkdsk, and safeboot but had to resort to restoring to backups taken before the update.

Running dism and sfc allowed me to install the update on 2 of the 4 servers so far and the other 2 still won't install the update. I got a total of 20 more servers to do and this is beginning to be a pain. Is this a known issue with this update or an issue possibly caused by a previous update?

Not yet although I got a reply from one of the community experts down below. It seems to be another method of doing what I have already tried that works sometimes. I am not going to try running any more patches for the next month and hope Microsoft actually acknowledges that their updates are breaking our servers and comes out with actual fixes to their own patches. It's getting to be quite ridiculous these past several months with how bad these update. We had print nightmare updates breaking shares, updates breaking active directory, updates causing infinite boot loops, updates completely bricking servers. It's basically damned if you do or damned if you don't do these updates anymore. The consequences and downtime trying to fix these issues are getting ridiculous.

This is basically the same process that I have done except now you say do it in safe boot. When will you guys acknowledge that these updates are broken on your updates page documentation so that people who check updates before installing them are aware of the nightmare they are about to enter. -us/topic/march-8-2022-kb5011495-os-build-14393-5006-fd1dddb5-7ec0-4d1c-9f19-2986cadc8eb9 should have a section say that users who install this update may have their servers break. I am not the only one having this problem.

Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.

Hi i have problem with spotify, it won't install. I had problem with updating spotify so i tried the solution with copying these 2 files: spotify_installer-1.0.95.289.g342899da-15.exe, update.json but i didn't have the update folder in AppData/Local/Spotify so i unistalled spotify, downloaded the newest installer from spotify.com and the installer won't start. Any error codes won't pop up i only have loadig cursor for few seconds and after that nothing happens. Restarting my computer after the uninstall didn't help.

So I did a search for 'Spotify' on my PC and I deleted every folder I found. I also found in a temporary folder, a 'SpotifyFullSetup.exe' that was being downloaded each time I ran the installer. So I took it out of the temporary folder and ran the setup. This worked for me. I have the client installed and on the latest version.

You need to do what @Magickx said, BUT the issue seems to be with usernames that contain special characters. So, you need to create a new temporary folder in C:\ (outside the 'Users' folder), put there the 'SpotifyFullSetup.exe' file and run it from there. It worked for me!

And where exactly i can find the SpotifyFullSetup.exe file, i searched Spotify in windows it was searching for about 2 hours (it wasn't fully finished) and it didn't find any Spotify folders or files.

I think it's created when you run the installer you download from the Spotify site. Try installing it again and after it does nothing, search for 'Spotify' on your PC and it should appear in a temporary folder. Move that file to a new folder you create outside your username folder and it should work...
