The problem is that when you only use one or the other you end up with ether many minor dead spots or one huge one in the center. J.D. The drawback to the radial pattern I used for the head is that it creates a dead spot in the center. For the next okedo, I'm going to try a cross-hatch pattern with the strapping tape for a more consistent sound. Tip: Duck tape seems to stick better than Duct tape.
