 | Hi everybody, I'm trying to investigate some damage to our drum heads. They have lost nearly all tension on one side, enough so that it is floppy and can be pressed down without resistance. The opposite sides became very flat too, looking slightly sunken in. This occurred to all of our drums, 1 over the span of a couple weeks and 3 over the span of 1 week. We have recently moved into a shared practice space with controlled temperatures. I suspected others were either sitting on the drums or setting heavy objects on them, but we've been assured that they haven't been touched. They have been stored upright in cushioned cases for many years without this happening. What else could cause this? We want to find the problem before reskinning. |
