I would like to convert those to .iso files having the same name as DVD-folder, but then stored elsewhere on the HDD.
So, input is like:
X:\Movies\Name of Movie1
X:\Movies\Name of other movie
X:\Movies\Name of another movie
X:\Movies\Name of Movie2
etc.
I gave it a try, it worked for the 1st DVD in the list. When ImgBurn prepared the 2nd one, it showed "Waiting for you to select layer break position..."
That DVD is 5.08GB.
When ignoring, there is a warning "The image it creates will NOT be suitable for burning onto double layer media."
In this setup it won't be necessary: 99% sure I will never actually burn the .iso to DVD - I play it from HDD.
Is there an optional parameter that 'ignores' (suppresses) this warning? So I can run this batch unattended.
I have tried creating thumbnails for some iso movies but the image does not display. I am using the same file name as the iso e.g. move.jpg & movie.iso. Both are in the same folder. All I get in the video large icon view is a grey cube (conncinity 3D OSD skin) for each iso movie.
All my iso's are in the same directory and have different names. I have tried with movie.iso and movie.jpg in the same directory. The movie directory is listed in the vitual path and after hitting "Generate Thumbnails from selected Virtualpaths" the image is not shown but the iso is symbolised by a grey cube.
Click the "Target" drop-down list you will see three options: "DVD-RAM driver", "Image File (*.iso)" and "DVD Folder". In order to backup your DVD movies to ISO image files, you should select "Image File (*.iso)" option and specify a directory to save the copied DVD movie.
I have a KDL-46V5810 and have recently tried to play a movie file from the USB stick for the first time. I formatted the stick to FAT32 and have tried .avi .vob and .iso files on the stick. For some reason none have been recognized when the stick is accessed from the TV menu.
1. Go to Tools > Options > File types. Under "Data", click on "Disk Image Files" and at the bottom of the window, select your preferred Playback Method from the drop down list. Automatic can be used on the server and will mount the .iso into VCD (Virtual Clone Drive). If you use a different virtual drive, choose "Custom" and enter your program details. External Program (Custom) should be used on a client. Browse to the folder where your virtual drive .exe file is and select that file. For VCD, this will be Program Files\Elaborate Bytes\VirtualCloneDrive\VCDMount.exe.
4. Go to Tools > Options > Library & Folders. Under "Auto-Import, Configure auto-import, select the folder or folders where your .iso files are stored, click on Edit and ensure that the Data box is checked.
6. In the left pane of the main window, click on Documents then Files. Your .iso files should show in the right pane. You may need to hover your pointer over the down arrow on the "Files" tab at the top and choose "List Style" then "Details". Right click on the title bar for the columns above the files and check Media Type and Media Sub-Type in the drop down list. This will cause these columns/Fields to show.
7. For your existing .iso files, Media Type will show as Data. Right click on Data and select Rename. Select Video from the drop down list. Right click on the blank entry in the Media Sub-Type column and select Rename and select Movie.
KMPlayer is more than just an ordinary media player. It is one of the best free ISO players. It is a powerful command line tool that captures audio/video output, format conversion, content streaming and more. This excellent tool is qualified for being an ISO DVD player. In fact, KMPlayer can not only play.iso files but also many other file formats, so you are less likely to encounter media files that your program cannot open.
