I see a number of very basic usability features asked about over and over (epics, ordering tasks, priorities on cards, etc). How can I see your backlog so that I understand how things are prioritized today? And then how can I influence those priorities so that we can get the features we need out of a tool? My apologies if I missed that on the site or in this group. And before you ask for my contribution, I'm a program manager trying to make this work for a team - not a developer - sorry buds...

Hi Amanda,

we manage Taiga with Taiga ;-) (https://tree.taiga.io/project/taiga/) so...

- This is the list of pending enhancements to promote to stories: https://tree.taiga.io/project/taiga/issues?page=1&types=6&statuses=1,2

In the next release you can vote stories and enhancement in Taiga and we enable the creation of bugs and enhancement for all users. Now you can use this mailing list to send us all your feedback and questions.

Regards

PS.: about "priorities on cards" now the order of the card in the backlog, sprint taskboard or kanban is its priority so what is exactly what you need?

Taiga with taiga... I guess that should have been an obvious leap for me to make right?

Cool, so I can see your list. I see epics filed and I'm happy to vote after the next release empowers me as a Taiga citizen :)

I don't think I see the ability to order lists of tasks within a card. This is of course important b/c often tasks need to be done in a certain order and our brains need all the help they can get to remember that order 2 weeks after we decided in grooming.

I am also interested in adding a priority field to cards so that it's easy to see what the top priorities are within a tag or (wait for it) epic. This helps to distinguish the blockers from the nice to haves without insane card names or really obnoxious tag rules. Ideally this would be available for filtering on the kanban board as well.

Have you reviewed these requests in the past?

Actually it's not possible but we had an existing enhancement request for it, I've just added your comment there -> https://tree.taiga.io/project/taiga/issue/2443

Taiga support custom fields, you can find some detailed info about how it works here -> https://taiga.io/support/custom-fields/ you could also use tags for them (our team uses them heavilty). Filtering the kanban view existed too, I've added your comments about it there -> https://tree.taiga.io/project/taiga/us/1775

Thank you very much! ;)

Yeah, custom fields doesn't provide a lot of value to me honestly b/c you can't use those for filtering nor can you see them anywhere other than viewing a specific card detail. That's nice for a detailed piece of info, not so nice for something that you need to use across a backlog. Since the concept of priority already exists for Issues, I'd like to see the same thing available in a card / user story. If I'm missing some element of usage, certainly shout at me.

Does your response mean that you will not be filing a card for this b/c you don't agree that that behavior is desirable?

Thanks!

Hello Amanda,

We try to consider all our users feedback so I've added all your comments to the existing issues we had in Taiga...are you missing any of your feedback added to the correct enhancement?
