I have pulled the latest git-stable for updating the taiga. How do i know whether the latest changes are reflected in the application.?

How do I restart the application in case if I wish to restart.?

What steps should I follow while reboot the server so that app starts running?

Consider me as a beginner in this type of setup.

Please help me with the instructions :)

Hello!,

What installation process did you follow?, if you followed this guide: https://taigaio.github.io/taiga-doc/dist/setup-production.html here (https://taigaio.github.io/taiga-doc/dist/setup-production.html#faq-maintain-update) you can find the details for keeping updated your instance.

Is my fault. Yesterday I created a new page with the FAQs section and some common bugs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the info.

I am following the instructions for updating..

Incase if I had to reboot the whole machine, what instructions should I follow in case the app doesn't start automatically?

Regards
Anish

It depends on what kind of installation you did, if it was a "production" one everything should start automatically.

I am getting the following error:

(taiga)taiga@office:~/taiga-back$ python manage.py compilemessages
Trying import local.py settings...
processing file django.po in /home/taiga/taiga-back/taiga/locale/it/LC_MESSAGES
The po files under /home/taiga/taiga-back/taiga/locale/it/LC_MESSAGES are in a seemingly not writable location. mo files will not be updated/created.

Python version 3.4.0.

What can be the possible reasons for this?

Anish

Hello Anish, it sounds like your taiga user doesn't have write permissions in the folder -> /home/taiga/taiga-back/taiga/locale/it/LC_MESSAGES, could you please check those permissions?

Regards!,
