Hi Coastal,

No, Taiga doesn't include calendar functionality. Probably the better
approach may be integrate with third party calendar systems.

Regards.

A calendar would be wonderful but only a task calendar, basically to be able to spread the US tasks of a sprint in each day. And be able to have a weekly and monthly view.
I do that with trello with the calendar power up board, by adding due date on card. This is not amaizing but at least I got my tasks and I can spread tasks on each day of the sprint and have a quick view and my team as well.

Thanks for your clarifications and your feedback, I'm adding this one as a possible enhancement for Taiga and we'll study how it could be included into Taiga.

Regards,

I'm not sure if I'm +1 on this.

With some of the recent feature requests, we're just building a new Redmine.

I think I would rather have the ability to communicate with an external calendar system or public iCal events that external calendars can subscribe to.

Though, if it's easy, perhaps it's not too bad.

Couldn't agree more.

We don't want another redmine and I fear some feature requests that are borderline with micromanagement will bring us YAR (yet another redmine) to the table.

I don't want to start a debate on this but it's good to be vigilant on these matters.

+1 on Calendar. I don't see it as 'bloat' at all. Quite the opposite. Time is a basic dimension of our universe. It permeates everything we do on a daily basis. The lack of acknowledgment of that basic fact strikes me more as a  drive towards "we're not redmine" rather than an acknowledgment of a very basic feature request that seems like it should just be there from the start. Keep it simple, sure. But not so simple that it lacks basic functionality for everyday use.

+1 to calendar. Gives visibility of task distribution across weeks, months and days. Would really love to have this in place or atleast a way to integrate it to google calendar.

Calendar? Yes, definitely. Native... not so sure. May be an integration with Calendar is the solution we are looking for.
Thanks!

Hello,

any news on Google calendar integration? (Or indeed Google docs / drive integration?)

Thanks!
