Hi

Is it possible to have Chinese (or any language different than English) as Taiga default language?

I've already try changing the LANGUAGE_CODE = "zh-hant" in common.py and local.py without any results

Regards

Hello!,

Yes it is but you should update the defaultLanguage attribute from your taiga-front/dist/conf.json file.

Regards!,

Hi

I've updated the conf.json and local.py file without any result by adding:

in conf.json

     "defaultLanguage": "zh-hant",

in local.py

     LANGUAGE_CODE = "zh-hant"

Am I missing some step?
Regards

Hello Maurizio,

Just updating your defaultLanguage should make it work (I've just tested right now). Is it possible that you are using a user with a selected language?, could you try using incognito-mode with a new user?.

Regards!,

Hi Alejandro,

I created a new user and in Edit Profile / User Setting I did set the language to "-- use default language --" and automatically sets it to "English (US)" not to 中文(香港)

I also set the language of the same user to Chinese and when I logged out I got the xxx/discover in English

As I mentioned before, I only changed two scrips with no results as follow:

in local.py --> added
      LANGUAGE_CODE = "zh-hant"

in conf.json --> added
     "defaultLanguage": "zh-hant",

Maybe I'm missing some step or the syntax is wrong?

Best Regards

What's the full path of your conf.json file?

conf.json PATH --> /home/taiga/taiga-front-dist/dist/conf.json

I did reset the Circus and Nginx, also run the the Taiga-back server with "python manage.py runserver" and "python manage.py migrate" without any results. I'm not sure if I did reset Taiga-back in a correct way.

Regards

I tried with a new installation and it worked the way you mentioned. I don't know what happened to my older installation, if I find out I'll post it.

Thanks!
