With the commercialization of festivities sliding into the degeneration more and more with time, some people are approaching legal authorities to save their religious and cultural beliefs and traditions. Such is a case of B. Ramkumar Adityan who approached the Madurai bench of Madras High Court to seek prohibition orders on vulgar songs and dances at Dussehra celebrations.
The order was issued on a public interest litigation (PIL) that urged the court to direct the police to secure undertakings from all Dasara organisers, sound and music system suppliers, dance performers etc., stating that they will only play devotional songs and not Kuthu Pattu (dance numbers).
Three types of songs are sung at RSS congregations. The first is their prarthana (prayer), which is sung at the end of members-only programmes, or in the beginning if the programme includes the public. The second type is gana geet (choral song, sung in groups), in which one swayamsevak sings a line, and other swayamsevaks repeat it in chorus. The third is ekal geet (solo song), which is sung solo by a swayamsevak. The prarthana is in Sanskrit, while the other two kinds are mostly in Hindi, and sometimes in other regional languages.

Dhol is the most popular instrument of Kullu. It is a two-headed drum, made of wood and copper shell. Its length is nearly 20 inches and the diameter is about 10 inches. Both heads are wrapped in goat or sheep leather called pura. The puras are tied with cotton string or leather. There are eight holes on each side where string is crossed and tied. The wrapped head of right side is struck with a stick called choubhe and the left is played by left hand. The pitch of right side is low, and that of left side, high. Dhols are suspended from the neck, tied to the waist and placed in the lap. It has been depicted in folk songs gracefully.
Notably, Dhindhora Baje Re is the fourth song from the Rocky Aur Rani song album. Tum Kya Mile, the first song from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, was released a few weeks ago.
