Since I'm using Directory Opus very intensively, I have chosen to group all dopus.exe windows. This works fine when I open saved lister layouts, but new listers opened via "File > Open New Lister" aren't grouped automatically.
A more severe issue is that some small windows, like those displaying progress bars, are also grouped. Sometimes they are expanded to the size of the opened listers, which just looks strange, but often the whole program window becomes as small as these tiny windows, and I have to resize it again manually every time.
When I choose "Add to group", there's an option to group all ungrouped windows of a specific class (dopus.lister in this case). I really don't understand why there isn't a similar option for always grouping all windows of a class, but only those of a program (.exe file). I guess that would solve my problems.
I will not start my computer without having Opus installed. But I'm kind of getting use to using Groupy also. My issue with Groupy is using Opus with groups. I have a group set up that I created with OneNote, NotePlus++, Chrome and Opus.
When I execute the above all show up except for Opus. So what I have to do each and every time after executing the group, is hold the control key and execute opus. It does add itself to the group. But I would rather have it execute right along with the rest and not have to go through this extra step.

I like Groupy very much, but working with Directory Opus while automatically grouping all dopus.exe windows doesn't work as smooth as it could be.

Is there a technical reason for not offering such an option? Of not, it would be nice if you could add it in a feature version.
Thank you very much in advance!
BTW, I tested having Groupy 'Automatically group all dopus.lister windows together, but that won't automatically do it either. I did this by finding the spot in the registry where it had saved 'dopus.exe' and changing it to 'dopus.lister'.
It might be something that can't be done. Dopus {I exclusively use it too] is more extensive/powerful than fileman.exe [I think the MS one is] so likely will be a tad recalcitrant. I've never found a need for using multiple instances of it so haven't seen issues myself...
Well, I haven't really solved the problems. New listers still open in a separate window, while saved listers open in the group. The problem with the small windows seems to have gone, although I'm not totally sure - most of the time they caused the whole group to resize, but not every time, so I might just have had luck in recent times.
