As an alternative, if you have 8GB of RAM or more then you can just download windows 10 from MS for free and run it in virtualbox. You can integrate it so well Vegas will just be another window on your Ubuntu desktop. Use samba to share the relevant folders with your Windows VM, and share the C:\ drive in the VM with Ubuntu, and you can do anything you need to in the Windows directories right from bash and nautilus.
When i make gameplay videos and try to edit them in vegas, then also use audacity to open up the file from vegas it keeps asking me to install audacity which i currently have, so therefore i cannot edit my voice chat in auadcity, can somebody pls help me thanks.
plz help me, my sony vegas wont open, it brings up "vegas pro has stopped working" every time i try to open it. its vegas pro 13 but i even installed 14 and the same problem arose. ive reinstalled 100+ times it feels like, ive even reset my PC which did work, but after i started using my pc more the problem randomly started happening again, plz help i have several projects that ive been working on in vegas and i would hate to have to abandon them.
before i reset my pc, it happened after i installed the windows 10 creators update which was also right after i installed the new geforce drivers which enabled support for the windows 10 creators update, also i had just installed McAfee antivirus but i had uninstalled that an the same problem occurred. so i then moved all my vegas projects on to a flash drive and reset my pc, when it started up the first time i installed all the essentials then i installed vegas yet again and it friken worked. SO i proceed to install my programs, drivers and such, and later when i try to open it up again the problem happened. which was after i had installed McAfee again which is what made me think it might be the problem yet again but aslo again i uninstalled it and vegas didnt work still. i even tried to open vegas while holding Ctrl+Shift which resets all preferences in the app before opening it and that didnt even work. And another thing i should mention is that is always crashes on the part where it says 'creating windows' in the boot up card thing.

If you have software that was created for Windows and need to run it on a Mac, you first need to buy and install the Windows operating system from Microsoft. The two main ways to install that are via Bootcamp or Parallels. The following article discusses those: -windows-on-a-mac-boot-camp-vs-par allels
