I'm not sure about where to post this . . .

Tagxedo is a great utility. Last night I tried using a custom shape
and ran into an issue I wasn't expecting. To keep things simple, I
uploaded a silhouette. It worked well except for one thing. I'm unable
to apply colors to the format. The words simply appear in black and
white.

The silhouette I'm using is a JPEG image. I'm going to try loading a
different format and perhaps changing the color from black to light
gray.

Is a different format or color going to help in this situation?

I made a change to Tagxedo's behavior in whether it should use "source color" or not when loading the shape from an image. Previously the answer is no, and I changed it to yes, and then to no, and then to yes...

But you can go to Option -> Layout -> Use Source Color and set it to "No".
