Hi! my name is Marcela, I´m from Buenos aires. I have my own Tagtool Mini, but its brush controls are not responding. I don´t understand what is the problem, it worked ok for same months and suddenly I can´t use it.
Have somebody any advice?
thanks!

hi,

did you check the standards? Like color is set to black or transparence
is at maximum? Check whether the values within the nodes in Nodekit
change when you move the sliders.

There are numberous possible issues, both hardware and software, but
those are my first thoughts when I have a problem like that.

Hi Alex,

I've been helping Marcela with this issue. What's happening is that we can successfully program the tagtool device with the sketch, but once you turn the computer off or unplug the device, the sketch gets erased and the only way to make it work again is to reprogram it every time. It seems that the sketch is being saved into a volatile memory or something.

Thanks for your help,
Andres.

Yes, that's known as well. Basically the Arduino works like that. There is a way to disable it, but I am used to program the tagtool every time. Maybe you find a hint in the arduino documentation.

I also suffer this problem. Not big, but we do workshops and reprog the tagtool controller for 10 set ups every time is a bit of a hassle.
Thing is that I made a tagtoolcontroller for my own with arduino Duemilanove and I never had this issue. Just programmed it once and everytime I attached it to my PC it just worked.
Then we build 10 tagtoolcontrollers with Arduino UNO and now we verytime have to start with programming the arduino, very annoying.
I think it has something to do with the ftdi driver, witch the Duemilanove uses. It seemed great that you don't have to install this driver for the UNO. But I would rather install this driver and the tagtool scatch once, then only install the scatch everytime I use the tagtools.

So any help appreciated!
Cheers,
Roel
