tagtool crashes / stop working after a while

Hi everyone,
I've been using tagtool on windows vista for about 3 years, around summertime this year my pc broke down and I installed the tagtool on other laptops.
It worked on every of them for some time but after a while it stops working and gets stuck on the last function I was using.
For example if I'm using the color yellow on a specific thickness it crashes and stays there, I therefore cannot change anymore to any color or other functions.
It appears on the bottom side of the pc "Usb PORT etc etc.."
It ended up that I cannot focus on my performance because It can crash at anytime without any symptoms.
If somebody could help would be fantastic.. My next show is in 15 days

Hey Alt,

I remember having similar issues when i had a short circuit caused by the slide potentiometers.

The Arduino stopped working and i could not change any color or use the red button.

As the software has not changed for years - i think the problem might be in your Arduino Controller.

Are you using a MIDI-controller? From what you describe I think I might have had a similar problem which I managed to solve by running a little program called MIDI-OX in the background while using the tagtool. Check all your soldering connections and potentiometers one by one. Is there a loose connection? Any visual damage on the lead? Some lead spread across connections?

If it´s a hardware problem you can provoke the crash/short circuit. 

Does it crash as soon as you do smth. specifically - when using the hue slider for example? Or the Depth? Or both together?
