Advice on Data Analysis

Hi, folks,

I've got a nice block of TagTime data built up, and I'd like to look at it with some statistical tools. However, I've not had much success importing this to Stata yet, and I wondered if you all had some advice. I've looked at the file itself, and I can grok it, but I'm interested if switching over to R or Excel allows me to treat my tags as binary variables with the tag's name immediately upon introduction, without having to get into a lot of data-wrangling. As soon as I can get something to recognize the data set, I'll be ready to run some stats.
