Dear STLHE Presenters, 

This is a reminder that any graduate students who are presenting at this year’s conference are eligible to apply for the TAGSA Award. The TAGSA Award recognizes a graduate student who facilitates an outstanding conference session; they will receive a certificate, reimbursement of all conference registration fees, acknowledgement on the STLHE website, and a one-year complimentary membership to TAGSA and STLHE. Nous vous rappelons que toutes les personnes étudiantes des cycles supérieurs qui font une présentation au congrès cette année sont admissibles au prix de I'AAEECS. Le prix de l’AAEECS reconnaît la personne faisant office animatrice d’une séance qui se démarque; cette personne recevra un certificat, obtiendra un remboursement de tous ses frais d’inscription au congrès, fera l’objet d’une mention sur le site Web de la STLHE/SAPES et obtiendra une année d’adhésion gratuite à l’AAEECS et à la SAPES. Dear STLHE Attendees, 

At the upcoming STLHE Conference in June of 2025, TAGSA will once again award a graduate student with the TAGSA Award for Outstanding Conference Session Led by a Graduate Student. Read the interview with the 2024 winner, Sonja Johnston, from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology about her presentation “Using Personal and Professional Development Plans as Curriculum to Prepare Students for Work Futures”.

If you are attending the STLHE Conference this June, you can volunteer as an Adjudicator for the TAGSA Award.

Adjudicators will attend a minimum of one STLHE conference presentation led by a graduate student who has applied for the TAGSA award. A short rubric will be provided to adjudicators by the TAGSA Awards Committee. Each session will be adjudicated by more than one volunteer.

If you would like to volunteer:

• To confirm your participation as an Adjudicator, please reach out to our Award Coordinator, Ehsan Ur Rahman Mohammed (ta...@stlhe.ca) with your name, role/appointment, and institutional affiliation. 
• Prior to the conference, you will be contacted by the Award Coordinator with a request to select specific sessions for adjudication. Once you confirm and commit to specific session(s), you will receive more details about the Award Rubric.
• Immediately following an adjudicated session, you will e-mail the completed Award Rubric to the Award Coordinator at ta...@stlhe.ca.

Chère membres qui assisteront au non-congrès, 

Lors du prochain congrès de la SAPES, le non-congrès SAPES en juin 2025, l’AAEECS récompensera une personne étudiante de cycle supérieur en lui remettant le prix TAGSA pour une session de conférence exceptionnelle dirigée par un.e étudiant.e de cycle supérieur. Lisez l'entrevue avec la lauréate 2024, Sonja Johnston, de l'Institut de technologie du sud de l'Alberta, à propos de sa présentation “Using Personal and Professional Development Plans as Curriculum to Prepare Students for Work Futures”.

Si vous assistez à la conférence de la SAPES en juin prochain, vous pouvez vous porter volontaire pour faire partie des juges pour le prix TAGSA.

Les juges assisteront à un minimum d'une présentation à la conférence de la SAPES menée par une personne étudiante de cycle supérieur qui a soumis sa candidature pour le prix TAGSA. Une courte rubrique sera fournie aux juges par le comité des prix TAGSA. Chaque session sera évaluée par plusieurs volontaires.

 Si vous souhaitez vous porter volontaire :

·       Pour confirmer votre participation en tant que juge, veuillez contacter la coordinatrice des prix, Ehsan Ur Rahman Mohammed (ta...@stlhe.ca) en indiquant votre nom, votre rôle/nomination et votre affiliation institutionnelle. 

·       Avant la conférence, la coordonnatrice des prix vous contactera pour vous demander de sélectionner des sessions spécifiques pour l'adjudication. Une fois que vous aurez confirmé votre choix et que vous vous serez engagé(e) à participer à une ou plusieurs sessions spécifiques, vous recevrez plus de détails sur la grille d'évaluation.

·       Immédiatement après la sélection d'une session, vous pourrez envoyer la grille d'évaluation complétée à la coordinatrice des prix à l'adresse ta...@stlhe.ca.  

Nous espérons que vous envisagerez de vous porter volontaire pour être juge du prix TAGSA.
